Marshall entered the door of his quarters. Within the small confines there was a single bed and restroom. Damp smoke colored mold encrusted the walls, while the ceiling seemed to encapsulate him further into the confining space. He was slowly suffocating from the hot moist air that filled his lungs. He had to get out, he couldn't be here. It was too close for comfort, too small of a space. Taking the thick humid air in short thick breaths he began to pant rapidly. He was suffocating he had no room to breathe.
He was trapped, he couldn't leave, he was for ever banished in this hell masquerading as life. He was a caged animal and the lizard had no intention of setting him free. He was his pet.
No, he couldn't stay here, he had to leave. He quickly opened his door and slipped out into the cold, isolated hallway. Stiffly he attached himself to the wall in a vain attempt to mask his presence as he silently padded through the hallway. His figure was highlighted by the bright fluorescent lights making it impossible to hide if any soldier were to walk by. Realizing that trying to hide himself would only make him waste precious time he hopped off the glossy wall and tore through the hallway with lightening fast speed. The hallways wound around him in loops and circles as he rushed to find an exit. Blindingly bright lights shone in his face with every bend and turn, it all seemed to go in circles. Perhaps, there was no exit.
No, that couldn't be. There was an entrance to this blasted ship he could just use it as an exit. He only needed to find it then he could escape on a space pod. The doors seemingly led to nowhere no matter how many he desperately scrambled through. Then one of the white paneled doors opened to reveal a dock with space kids lined in rows. All that's was left was finding a space pod and programming it home. He strided forward until he was pulled back by a enclosing his throat accompanied by only a soft taking voice.
