Chapter 5
Julian got out of the limo. He looked striking in a white leather jacket and a black shirt. He had dark, almost black, jeans and white converse. As the started walking towards me, he smiled and I smiled back.
“I see you got my memos,” He said, taking my hand and looking me up and down.
“Yes, I did. You clean up well yourself,” I said, smiling. Wow, I couldn’t believe how quick everything had happened!
“So, are you ready to go?” He asked. Speaking of going…
“Where are we going?” I questioned. I couldn’t stand being led on. The anxiety from it all always made me a little nervous.
“You’ll see. You just have to promise me to not fall asleep,” I had fallen asleep on the way to the honey moon and Julian had to wake me up to get me to go inside! I nodded a promise to Julian and walked to where he led me around the limo and I crawled in. Julian walked around the other side of it and climbed in too.
We drove in silence. J must have told the driver where we were going before hand because it had been obvious that he already knew where to go. I slipped my hand into Julians and tapped my foot on the floor. My hair was still intact and my makeup hasn’t been messed up yet. Hopefully everything went smoothly tonight. Looking out the window, I noticed we were on a really busy street. I started chewing on my lip. Why was I getting nervous about going out with Julian? We had done things like this tons of times! We continued driving and stopped in front of a fancy restaurant with some sort of French name I couldn’t even pronounce. Julian got out of the car and hurried over to my side.
“After you, my dear,” Julian said in his most formal voice he could manage. We both chuckled a little, I grasped his hand and stood up, smoothing out my dress in the process. “Did I mention how hot you look?” Julian whispered into my ear, causing the hair on my neck to stand up. I glanced over at Julian, who was taller than me, and smiled.
“No, you didn’t. Thanks, honey,” I said, smiling. He leaned in to kiss me and I generously returned the favor. We walked hand in hand to the restaurants entrance. Walking inside was overwhelming. Waterfalls, gleaming white lights, candles, and tables surrounded me. “Wow.”
A female waitress with light brown hair, pulled up into a pony tail, greeted us. “Hi!” She started. “Do you two have a reservation?” She asked, smiling the whole time.
“Yes,” Julian answered. “Shane, table for two.” I can’t believe Julian planned such a wonderful honeymoon all by himself! I would have to rely on him more often.
“Okay! Right this way,” the waitress, who’s name I saw was Shawna, led us to a small table near the corner by a waterfall. “Here you two are. Your server will be with you shortly!” Shawna’s cheery voice said. Julian and I both thanked her and she left.
“Jules, this place is amazing. Thank you so much!” I said, squeezing his hand across the elegant table. It was covered in 4 tiny white candles with a vase of flowers in the middle. It was darker lighting in the restaurant. Julian and I’s black hair stuck out in the place.
“Your welcome. You deserved it. You’re the most faithful and amazing person I know. You deserve more than this, really.” Now he was sugar coating it. I wonder if he wants something.
“It’s more than I ever could have wanted,” I smiled. I was so happy to be with Julian again, after two long, hard years.
Julian smiled too. We both looked through the menu and decided on what we wanted. Before long, the waiter for the night came along.
