Song for chapter: shout about it by The Vamps ;)
The feeling of strong arms wrapped around his waist and hot breath against his neck wasn't strange to brad. But instead of regret and anxiety, the small boy felt safe. Which isn't what he usually felt when he woke up in someone's arms.. especially when he and James had been together. Then he realised, these arms did not belong to James.
The boys eyes fluttered open, scanning around the unfamiliar room. It took him a few minutes before last nights events played back in his mind. Groaning slightly before, turning his head to see who he was accompanied by.
When the brunette saw the taller boys sleeping form holding him close, he shot up, eyes wide. Leaping off the bed in search of his clothes, he crashed into Tristan's bedside table, causing it to topple over.
Tristan bolted upright, eyes laying on the brunette who was frozen, standing before him. Clutching one of his shoes.
"Fuck brad, you scared the shit out of me!" The blonde sighed, holding his chest. The brunette looked down at the floor, biting his lip. "Did we.." he half whispered, not daring to look the blonde in the eye.
Tristan smiled, shaking his head. "Much to your disappointment, Bradley" he winked, climbing out of the bed they had shared. The smaller boy let out another grown, slapping his hand onto his forehead. Tris laughed nervously rubbing the back of his neck.
"Need to be anywhere?" The taller boy asked, handing the boy his other shoe. Brad nodded "yeah. Away from here" he glanced around. Tristan chuckled. "Come on brad, it's Saturday. We've got the day" he was surprised he was persuading the boy to stay, but no one ever said Tristan was predictable.
Brad looked at him, unsure of whether he should take up Tristan's offer. He licked his lips nervously before sighing "buy me some coffee and I'm yours"
Tristan smiled. "Of course, Curley"
-----------------------------------—---------
Tristan had played fall out boy on the way to the coffee shop. Brad looked rather anxious, he kept chewing his bottom lip.
It felt weird walking into the place he worked as a customer. It felt even weirder with Curley (Tristan liked that nickname) shuffling next to him.
"Hey Brendon" tristan smiled at the tall man behind the counter. "Hey bud, who's your friend?" Brendon asked, eyes fixed on brad, lip curling up into a cheeky smile.
Tristan placed an arm around the smaller boys waist, eyes narrowing. Brendon laughed "c'mon Tris, introduce me to your pretty friend" he smirked, leaning against the counter.
"His name is brad, and we'd both appreciate it if you'd take our order." Tristan's grip around Brads waist tightened. Brendon raised an eyebrow and sulked off, leaving someone else to attended to the boys.
"Heya tris" greeted the small girl behind the counter. She looked half asleep but pleased to see Tristan. "Hello Emily, no sleep again?" He chuckled as the red head sighed and smiled. "Nope. What can I get you two?" Tristan looked at brad, who looked straight back up at tris. "Come on, you know by now." The brunette raised an eyebrow at the taller boy.
They ordered their drinks to go and left the shop into the cold street. The two walked for a while, occasionally sipping at their coffees. Tristan was careful of what he said, despite brad not seeming to care what came out his own chapped lips.
"So, curley, anything in particular you'd like to do today?" Tristan asked, pocketing his hands, smiling down at the brunette. He shrugged, taking another sip of the bitter liquid.
