Prologue

Britney's Pov.

My phone buzzed loudly on the nightstand, Selena was still sleeping on her bed, She never wakes up by an alarm or a ringtone. I grabbed the phone in my hands. i pressed the unlock button to see the caller ID. Ryan my lovely boyfriend is calling.

I accepted the call without hesitation. i smiled brightly when his face appeared on the screen. i rubbed my eyes of the light that went to my gaze.

"Aw, look at the new high schooler!" He chuckled. i blew a kiss at him and whispered.

"i miss you, Babe" Iresponded.

"Babe, now get ready for the first day of school, don't let boys flirt with you," he slightly winked while looking somewhere, i realized that the wink wasn't directed to me.

"Who's with you?" my smile faded in few minutes. His reaction was relaxed and . . . annoyed?

"It's my sister," He laughed "You're a jelly baby."

My reaction changed from wondering to grinning. "You're a charmer, Love you . . . let me get ready for the school, Bye" i mumbled, he said goodbye back and the call ended. my gaze went to the clock. Oh god! It's almost seven. i gasped and ran to Selena's bed.

"Wake up lazy arse! it's seven in the morning!" she rolled on the bed and groaned.

i ran to my closet and tried to look for something to wear. my hands fell on Dark blue skinny jeans, Baby blue blouse, and Normal blue Sandals. i settled them on the bed and walked to the washroom and took a fast shower, my muscles relaxed under the warm water.

i wrapped the towel on my chest and it was nearly touching my knees. I got out and saw a nervous Selena, wearing super skinny black jeans, White tank top with a 'Hotties Are Rare' printed on it, and a Blacked-White converse.

"Hottie," i laughed.

"Thank you," she sighed. Selena is my bestfriend since primary school. We act like a couple and not just friends, which is strange.

i put on the clothes i settled. i wore a slight makeup like an eyeliner, mascara, lip gloss, and lipstick.

"We're late! it's seven nine," Selena huffed.

"I want to eat," i pouted.

"Oh, c'mon, we will eat at lunch." she walked out of the dorm, i guess she is waiting for me. i grabbed my purse, chuckling at the text that i received recently from Ryan saying

*Hello, have fun in the school, don't forget to call me Bæ.*

Selena growled when i slowed down.

"Y'know, we might have missed a school period, huh?" she hummed.

"let's go."

The lunch period finally came. me and Selena were starving. I told the cooker to give me piece. of toast, Rectangular cheese, salad, and apple juice.

Selena sank down in the seat, so did i. Many boys were flirting and i tried so hard not to smile,

i have that habit when someone flirts with me i laugh or smile, and it's really bad habit, exactly when I'm taken. i placed the headphones in my ear ad the songs played softly in the background. i did that to ignore the flirters. a boy passed by and my jaw almost dropped when i saw him. Green emerald eyes, wavy curly hair, dimpled grin, and exercised body. i wanted to smack myself, I'm looking at a boy with heart-eyes, who's not my boyfriend.

"Hold your jaw, it might drop on the floor and get broken," Selena teased. "I agree, he is pretty hot,"

"go talk to him, Selena," i winked. she shook her head in annoyance.

to my surprise, the boy came toward us.

"may i sit with you?" he asked timidly, his voice was Raspy, and kind of sexy.

i took the headphones off.

"Sure you can!" i giggled.

"so, i heard that you two are the new graders?" he pulled the seat from under the table. i stopped eating and watched him.

"Yes, it's us," Selena looked annoyed when i answered this question too.

"grateful to meet you, pretties," he winked. oh god he just winked.

"Thank you," Selena mumbled shyly.

his emerald green eyes stared at my top with a 'What is the hell' reaction.

"Uh, you guys know that we are in a school, not a dancing club . . . right?" he laughed faintly.

"Isn't it allowed?" i gasped.

"Nope, it's not,"

"Oh, so that's why we got many weird glances," i chuckled.

"I don't mind it at all," he winked with a smirk drawn on his face.

Then i remembered what Ryan said. 'Don't let boys flirt with you,'

"Uh, excuse me, but I'm taken," i cleared my throat loudly. his expression went blank then laughed.

"I didn't ask about statues, add to your mind, I'm not flirting," he laughed and i flushed.

"What's your name?" Selena -god bless her- changed the subject.

"Britney, Selena, my name is Harry, I'm one of the most popular boys at school, you two should be glad i talked to you," He rolled his eyes.

"Sorry, uh wow! I-it's time for The literature period, Let's go Sele, " i shifted my weight off the seat and stood up awkwardly.

"This way to escape from me is dumb, anyway, bye," he walked away.

Selena stood up and walked with me.

"Why is he being sweet then a moron? and cold . . .?"  Selena whispered.

"Don't mind him, let's enjoy the coming periods," i replied.

I pushed Harry's harsh words in the back of my head and thought about Ryan, My Sweet boyfriend.
