They've been friends since they were both babies, not really remembering when they first talked to each other or actually became closer. They just were, together in all the fun and sad moments. They grew up together, went to kindergarten together, then to school, then to university. Until they grew up and became young adults. Separately.

Camila was always the shy one of the two, keeping to herself and making friends harder than others. Still, her love for music got her three very good friends when she was still 4 years old. Her parents had noticed that their daughter always blabbered or danced even without music. Then her grandparents decided to give the girl a small guitar as a birthday present. Camila still couldn't talk properly but always hummed something happily, strumming the guitar as best as she could at her age. Which wasn't really good but music seemed to be her passion so her father took it in his hands to teach his daughter at least a little bit how to play the musical instrument.

And that's how Camila suddenly got closer with three other girls in the kindergarten who also loved music and wanted to learn to play musical instruments too - Dinah, Normani and Ally. Out of nowhere soon the four girls started talking about becoming a band, all the while being kids and just having fun, making their parents confused on whether or not they were serious.

Lauren, even though she wasn't as close to the three girls like Camila, was a popular kid, always. Still, she was always the closest with Camila, her best friend, together in everything, trouble or a game. Lauren wasn't that much into music, she preferred talking with people, making more and more friends. So she was always at the center of attention, feeling good when the spotlight was on her, unlike Camila.

Still, their weird duo somehow worked. Everyone knew they were attached at the hip, wherever one went the other followed. They did everything together, no one could really split them up, their bond was unbreakable.

And Camila was so in awe of Lauren, how she was so outgoing, how she was friends with everyone. And how no matter what she was always there when Camila was clumsily practicing on her guitar, how she told her she was very good and she and the other girls should really make a band. Camila always got these weird feelings in her chest and tummy whenever Lauren talked to her like that, her eyes shining and her big smile on display. So the brown-eyed decided to try this idea for a band, and try it on a very special day.

Lauren's seventh birthday came faster than anticipated. There was a big party at her house, with kids both from her and Camila's school and their kindergarten, some younger, some their age, some even older. Lauren really had a lot of friends. But even if she was surrounded by people on this day, Camila was always next to her. And Lauren also got a lot of presents but her favourite seemed to be a big plush bear, given to her by Camila, of course.

Then there was a surprise planned by Camila. And her 'bandmates'. Although Ally and Normani hadn't really learned how to play the guitar. They were there mainly for moral support while Dinah jammed on her drums behind Camila who was playing on her guitar. Even though the latter was afraid of actually performing in front of people who weren't her family or closest friends, afraid of even talking or looking at strangers, the girl wanted to do this for Lauren. So she and Dinah performed a part of an easy song they had learned how to play after countless rehearsals and pestering from the older girl. This had to be perfect for Lauren after all. And the green-eyed seemed to like it, hugging Camila tightly after the little performance and telling her how proud she was.
