Nellie pulls the strings on her backpack down as she walks, more of a habit then the necessity to shorten the straps. She makes her way through the Dran's Hall doorway, a building named after some rich dude who gave money to the school probably.
"Nellieeeee!"
She looks up as Jake comes crashing into her line of sight as he barrels down the hallway towards her.
"Jake! Don't run though the halls you lug you'll hurt someone!" Jeorge called after him.
Nellie braced herself for impact as the large Rugby player crashes into her and picks her up.
"Hello Jake, please place my feet back on the ground now."
He gently sets her down and smiles. Jake was a pretty big guy, he was a Business Major on the Rugby team, they became friends through him helping her out with an entrepreneurship class she was taking last semester.
"You didn't come by this weekend we thought you died." Jake slings an arm around her shoulders "But you look perfectly alive to me."
"Jake you can't push your way though a busy hall you will run people over" Jeorge had finally caught up to his gallivanting giant of a friend. "and only Jake thought you were dead, I stated several times you were probably studying."
Jeorge was a Psychology major and was probably the most rational people she had ever met, seeing the two best friends was quite the picture.
Jeorge slid his hands in his jeans and shrugged "Not like he listens to me though."
"I always listen, I just don't always heed your advice." he pouts.
Nellie gives a slight chuckle at her friends antics, "As much as I would love to stand around and listen to you bicker I have to head to class." she claps Jake on the shoulder and gives Jeorge a slight hug before walking away "Bye!" they shoot byes back to her retreating form.
Jeorge gives her a worried look "She works too hard."

Nellie gets to her class and sits in the back, pulling out a planner and a pen, it's the first day for this semester (so new classes) and usually you don't need too many supplies day one. A girl groans as she slides in a chair at a table across the empty room. Her hair is dripping wet and she throws her head in her folded arms. It had to be the loudest way to sit down possible, yet she managed it. Nellie pulls up her phone and is scrolling though her usual websites, regret for not grabbing headphones from her bedside table starts seeping into her skin. Suddenly something strikes her on the side on the side head, she looks up from her phone to see a pencil bounce off the chair next to her, rolling back to her, and finally resting at her feet. She glanced back up to see the doused girl scrambling from her seat.
"Hey sorry about that!" She smiles a crooked smile and reaches her hand out for the pencil, the one in Nellie's hand, the one she doesn't remember picking up.
Nellie could say nothing, she could just hand her back her pencil and move on with the remaining 3 minutes until class. (Speaking of which where WAS everyone??)
"Your hair is wet."
The girl let a loose laugh fall from her mouth, that smile not letting up.
"Is it? I haven't noticed." She brushed her very long wet black hair from her face and tucked it behind her ear.
Nellie reaches out and the girl takes back her pencil, the eraser looks like a worm took a bite out of it, a clean oval shape missing from the side. "Do you need an eraser?" Nellie grabbed her pencil bag and opened it. Mystery girl, who is practically standing in a small puddle now leans against the table she was in front of. "Nah this one still works."
Nellie blushes why did she bother to offer then, she looks in the practically empty bag apart from 2 pens and a highlighter "Good cause I don't have one."
"Good to know", the smile melted on her face into a settled smirk, like her face didn't understand the simple concept of resting or frowning.
Nellie turned back to her phone unsure of what else to even say, the girl resettled at her previous table as the class started to fill in.
Who the hell comes to school with soaking wet hair?
