Introduction:
I hurried down Oxford street in London, trying to keep my phone in hand as I was jostled by the hundreds of tourists and commuters.
I was late for work, for the millionth time, because of cat puke, of all things. Meanwhile I was also getting shouted at by my best friend, Zoe, on the phone for my lack of social life.
Yeah, it was a busy morning.
Basically, Zoe was very adamant about me coming to a party at her little flat that night. I said no, and soon we were both full out screaming at each other.
I was saying something along the lines of,"Netflix is a better friend than you!", and she was yelling back,"Why do you hate people so much?!" and then suddenly time stopped.
That was when I saw him for the first time. That was when I saw the man who would change my life forever. That was when I saw the Doctor.
Chapter One:
He was wearing a brown tweed jacket and a bowtie. Yeah, I said a bowtie.
Don't ask me why time slowed down when it did, or why my eyes focused on his, in a crowd of hundreds.but that's what happened, and that's all I can say.
We were walking in slow motion towards each other, my brain not processing what Zoe was saying, all i could see was him, and my vision spiraling into his eyes. My right hand was slipping away from my ear, and suddenly there was pressure around it, as if someone was gripping it. Suddenly time went into super speed, a fast little blip, and I was walking the other way, the strange man clutching my arm. He swiftly pulled the phone out of my hand and pressed the end call button. Then he slipped it into his pocket.
I was still in some sort of freakish trance mode. I didn't even break stride of blink the whole time. I didn't even turn to look at him. I just walked along, lips slightly parted, as we turned into a deserted alleyway that i had not seen a moment before.
Inside was a blue box. Memories flooded my head. The blue box. The blue box. TARDIS. Time and relative dimensions in space. Eerie sing song voices whispered in my ears and around my head, taunting me.
We had stopped next to the box. TARDIS, the voices said, becoming more anxious. They swarmed around me like bees near their hive, and I swayed on the spot. My mind was filled with them, the voices, urgently whispering to me.
"Are you alright?"said the man.
And the world went black.

My eyes opened slightly, to see bowtie pointing a weird buzzing green lighty magic wand thing at my phone. That started out as a perfectly good sentence.
Anyway.
I squinted at him through crusty eyes. Oh god. Memories were coming back to me. Not weird blue box memories, but walking with strange man into deserted alleyway memories. Even scarier. I noticed that his coat was draped across my shoulders and I groggily pushed it off.
Bowtie glanced up slightly, then looked back down again, then looked back up.
"Oh hello!" he said
"Who the hell are you?" I responded
His silly grin faded into a puzzled frown.
"Well, I'm the Doctor, of course, and something's wrong with Aria and what can I do to fix it?" he said in a sing song voice
I bounced to my feet, with sudden, unexpected agility and held out my hand for my phone.
"Give it to me" I snapped," I'm leaving"
