I sat down on the spinny chair that was right next to the console and groaned.
"What. Was. That." I said
"Oh! haha," the Doctor said, standing in front of me, leaning on the console,"Piece of cake. Easy. I worked out how to solve that problem. Really, very simple."
"You have no idea." I said,"You really have no plan, right?"
"Uh, yes, actually. I mean yes, I don't have a plan."
"So what are we going to do?" I think I sounded a bit hysterical.
"We need to ask ourselves questions. Why did she tell us so much, why did she let us go. Actually, very good thinking, Aria. Is there an imminent threat, what is she hiding?"
"Um...."
"The answer is, let's go on an adventure!" He flashed a goofy grin, and started around the console, as always, flipping switches.
"Hang on! What?!" I said, standing up.
"Look," said the Doctor, turning to me,"There is no imminent threat." He emphasized each word."There really isn't a big problem right now, they don't have any way to travel, there's no gas lamps anymore, and really I am quite confused, need to think,so do you fancy a holiday?" He said this all quite quickly.
"Excuse me?" I replied,"I never agreed to come anywhere. I only came in the first place because my friend was involved! You think you're so clever, don't you, and-and Zoe's dead and you could care less!" I burst into tears, and sank down into the seat again.
The Doctor stood there, wringing his hands and staring at me, looking very bewildered. He came over and awkwardly patted me on the shoulder and said, "There, there." But he couldn't rid his voice of the awkward tone.
I heaved a sigh and looked up at him through blurry eyes.
"Okay Doctor, where are we going then?" I said wearily.
"You choose!" He sprang up with a grin, and flung himself towards the console.
