Jungkook was standing outside of the store Sarang usually goes to.
"Hang in there, Sarang. I will find you... I promise...."
He loooked up at the sound of a car pulling over beside him. It wasn't yet parked properly, but Taehyung had already jumped out, making the driver nag at him for not being careful.
"I brough Jin-hyung along to help us too." Taehyung explained.
Seokjin gave the younger two the instructions
"I'll go in the store to ask if anyone saw anything, and you two look around the street."
Jungkook and Taehyung nodded in unison.
"Yes, hyung!" they whisper-yelledThe duo went down the street. Taehyung suddenly spotted a grocery bag thrown away in an alley. "Jungkook-ah, look at this..."
Jungkook was by his side in instant and went to the bag. When he lifted it, he noticed a syringe laying on ground. He was about to pick it up as well...
"Don't touch that! It must be the drugs they used on her...." Taehyung warned the younger. Jungkook was on verge of tears. He yelled in frustration and threw the bag in his hand into a wall, making the food spill all around them, but he couldn't care less right now. He was panting, trying really hard to calm down.
They heard footsteps approaching them.
"I couldn't find anything in the store, except for this pasta!" Seokjin exclaimed. "You can cook it in a completely different way! Imagine this: you just have to--"
"Now it's not the right time for that, hyung..." Taehyung interrupted. He pointed at the groceries now spilled around their feet, and the elder fell silent. Taehyung bit his nails, trying to think. After a few agonizing moments, he snapped his fingers. Jungkook, who was pacing around, and Seokjin, who was reading further instructions for the pasta, snapped their heads at Taehyung's direction. "I just remembered! I can track down Yeon's phone! Just give me a second..."
He fished his phone out of his pocket and turned the tracking app on. After a few seconds, he got the info he needed. "There, I've got it!"Namjoon was twirling the knife in his hand, looking between the two girls.
It was starting to get on Yeon's nerves.
"For how long are you planning to keep us like this?"
Namjoon stopped the movements with his knife, looking at her evily. "Just until you hear the news about your dear parents."
"You won't gain anything from this, you'll still be unhappy!" Sarang said.
Namjoon stood behind Sarang's pole and held onto her arm with one hand while the other was holding the knife on her wrist, the blade pressing down on her skin, but not yet cutting it.
"Maybe I'll be happier this way?"
Sarang shut her eyes tightly, and Yeon was screaming.Out of the blue they could hear voices from the outside, banging following right after.
"Yeon, what's going on in there, are you alright?" a deep voice yelled.
The banging noises became louder, and Namjoon dropped the knife.
"This isn't over yet, so don't think that."
He ran to the back door and was outside of the warehouse in no time.
Just as he escaped, the front door broke down, revealing Jungkook, Taehyung and Seokjin. They ran over to the girls and untied them. Taehyung hugged Yeon, one hand finding it's way on her head, holding her just as you would a child.
"Yeon, you're alive! I'm so relieved to see you safe and sound!
Yeon just smiled at him tiredly, and Taehyung returned the smile.
Jungkook hugged Sarang with one hand, her head resting on his chest. She leaned on him comfortably. She stuttered a
"I-I'm so scared..."
Jungkook looked at her fondly. "It's okay, it's all over now."
He held her hand and gently squeezed it to let her know thay he's beside her. She smiled up and him and squeezed back.
Their little reunion was suddenly interrupted.
"No fair! Who am I supposed to hug? This pole over here??" Seokjin exclaimed in whiny voice.
To everyone's surprise he actually did it, making them laugh. But Yeon stopped abruptly.
"Sarang! Our parents!!! We have to call them right away!"
Sarang jumped at that and ran to the table where Namjoon put Yeon's phone and dialed their parents.
"MOM! QUICK YOU HAVE TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY, YOU'RE IN DANGER! JUST LISTEN TO ME!"
From the other end of the line came loud crashing noises and the call was ended. Everyone fell silent. The only sound was heard when Sarang dropped the phone. The girls looked at each other, not knowing how to react. Everyone was startled when the phone rang. Yeon quickly scrambled to pick it up. She turned on the speaker mode.
"Is everyone alright? What happened?"
"As soon as we got out of the way some maniac in a truck was driving so fast that he scratched the side of the car and Sarang's mom dropped the phone. It's nothing serious, don't worry." Yeon's mom replied.
The two girls sighed in relief.
"Okay, you can go back home safely now. See you soon!"Seokjin drove Yeon and Taehyung home. When he pulled over at Yeon's house he asked
"Are you going to be alright on your own?"
Yeon opened her mouth to answer, but Taehyung cut her off.
"Don't worry about it, hyung. I'm staying with her."
"Alright, then." the elder said. "Take good care of her. See you!"
They waved at him and he drove away. Taehyung crouched in front of Yeon to give her a piggyback ride.
"Oppa, you don't really have to..."
"I'm waiting.... Are you just gonna leave me here like this?"
She rolled her eyes playfully. "Fine, fine."
She hopped onto his back, hugging him around his neck. Taehyung held her by her legs and lifted the small girl effortlessly.
When they came in, she didn't see her parents around, they've probably left to sleep already. Her thoughts were interrupted when Taehyung put her down on the couch carefully. He sat down on the floor in front of her and took her shoes off. She giggled. He smiled at her, glad to see her happy.
"What's so funny?" the boy asked.
"I was just thinking about how you've carried me on your back twice in such short time..."
He stopped to think for a second.
"The first time was when.... Kim... Namjoon....was here, right?"
He said the name carefully, afraid that he might trigger something, but she only nodded.
"Yes, and it was kind of unexpected. I didn't know my Tae-oppa was so strong!" the girl teased.
Taehyung stood up and out of the blue he pecked her lips. She was caught completely off guard, leaving her to look at him with astonishment.
"Then I guess this was unexpected, too. I wanted to tell you this, but I couldn't admit it even to myself at first.... " He sat beside her. "But now I know that I'm in love with you... So.... Do you want us to be together?"
He suddenly got shy, a really rare sight. Yeon found it adorable. When he looked up at her she nodded. He laughed cutely and hugged her tight, never wanting to let go.Jungkook and Sarang took a cab to Sarang's house. Suddenly, an idea popped in her head and she told the driver to go a certain park. Jungkook looked over at her, confusion written all over his face.
"Are you sure you don't want to go home first?" he questioned.
Sarang smiled at him and put her hand on top of his.
"I'm sure."
He smiled a small smile back at her and nodded his head once.
When they finally got to their destination, they got out and made their way towards a tiny hill surrounded by cherry blossoms, Jungkook holding Sarang by her arms, just in case she slipped. He set her down on the soft grass and settled on her left. She leaned her head on his shoulder. As if on cue, pink petals started falling around, some of them ending up in their hairs. Sarang recalled something.
"Do you remember this place?"
Jungkook smiled his bunny smile at the memory.
"How could I forget? This is the place where I first saw you."
He looked at her mischieviously
"But I also remember you falling on your face! You were probably stunned with my handsomness!"
She nudged him with her elbow gently, but it didn't make his 'evil' laughter go away.
"Stop teasing me!" she pouted.
He stopped laughing. They both looked at the petals being blown by the wind. Jungkook diverted his gaze from the view, now he was looking at the girl beside him. While she was disctacted, he kissed her shortly, but effectively. Sarang was shook, but quickly recovered and returned the kiss. When they pulled away, bunny smiles adorned both of their faces. He wrapped her arm around her shoulder and brought her closer to him, if it was even possible. They leaned their heads together.
"I'll never leave you again, so please promise me that you'll always be by my side, hmm?" Jungkook asked.
"I will always be with you, no matter what, because you never walk alone (A/N: sorry I had to( ´∀`) -Bwin)" the brunette smiled.
They looked at each other's eyes lovingly for a long moment. Sarang then remembered something.
"Can I borrow your phone for a moment? I should text my parents."
Jungkook nodded and pulled the phone from his pocket. At that exact moment, a message came. From: Cool Hyung 😎🎧
