It was freezing. Why did Neborys thing it was a good idea to head this north for her next adventure? She had heard whispering in other towns about this place. Supposively it was built upon the death of magic users. The whole world hated magic in fact so it wasn't anything new.  Having to live a life of lies didn't help, however. Constantly trying not to use your magic was hard. So instead she lived her life as a traveling musician, who traveled far. Shivering, the tiefling headed into the dusty seamstress place.

"Hello!" The word almost didn't come out of the human's mouth. The man looked to be in his mid-twenties and had bright red hair. Before he was able to say anything else, he went into an immediate coughing fit. "Welcome."The sniffles came next. "I can help you find something if need be."

Neb didn't want to laugh at the poor guy. It seemed like the place was too dusty for him. That confused him, however. "Why don't you just dust the place, sir?"

"Oh no no no. My brother was the one who dusted. And I'm waiting for him to get back." It was a mere shock that he got the sentence out before his next coughing fit. Leaning back in his chair, he blew his nose another time before looking back at her. "I'm guessing you need a coat."

He was right. Anyone could see it was dumb to come this far north without a coat. "Yes please - umm I'm sorry - What's your name?"

"It's James Reddington." Another sneeze came as he scurried to the hung up coats, pulling out a few options. "These are my three different ones. They range from fifty gold to a hundred."

All three looked the same to Neb. In fact, she just figured that the more expensive one would be best. She didn't do well in the cold being a tiefling. Plus she wasn't the type to worry about money. When you travel as much as she did money was just another option. She could either be warm or cold.

"I'll take this one," she said as she picked up the hundred gold one. It was heavy and looked to have some sort of small animal fur on the inside. "I also have a question for you James. Is there anyone in town who needs help? I've been down on my luck recently and I'm looking for something to do." After years of far traveling, she had realized how unexciting it was getting. She wanted some sort of adventure.

"Well," James whispered as he moved in closer to her. Neb, however, backed away seeing another sneeze was coming. "The town's priest, his deacon, and a few members from the church went to check out the old tower east of the town towards the badlands. Many people had traveled there but none of them have come back thus far. So I would heed my warning and stay away."

Neb hadn't finished listening to James. She was already out the door and thanking him for his help. Maybe this town would be more exciting then she thought it would. "I wonder if there is a bar in town," she said to herself as she looked down the street.

What Neb didn't know was how the little bit of curiosity she had now would change the rest of her travels. What friends she would make and betrayals she would feel along the way.
