Dear Dairy,
November 27th, 1902. ( Later in the morning. )
" Psst! " " Psst! " " Wake up! " " Emily! " " Emily, wake up! " I hear as I lay down in my bed, feeling my body being heavily shaken. " What... " What's wrong Alex?" I said concerningly, while rubbing my eye's open, yawning out of my bed. " I smell something burning! " Alex said anxiously, while pushing me out of bed, and rush's me down the stairs. I then groan in frustration as I feel my sisters pull, as we rush down the stairs. I then smell the hard cold burn, that my sister was worried about, once we got down stairs, and into the kitchen. " Mom!?" I yelled out curiously, while waving the smoke out of my face, while coughing repeatedly. My Mom then grabs the fire extinguisher, under our kitchen sink, and pulls the trigger towards the kitchen stove. " White/ Greyish dust is floating every where in the air. " Open the windows! " My mother yelled, while opening some of the kitchen windows. Me and Alex then pintch our noses together, while walking to the kitchen windows, helping Mom open them. After a few hours, the house is empty of the dust... But mom's turkey for Thanksgiving is burnt to a crisp. " Mom what happened!? " I said curiously, while sitting down across from her, at our kitchen table. She sighs. " I just wanted to make you and your sister the best Thanksgiving meal ever!" " But I accidentally left the turkey in for way too long, and now my fifty dollar turkey is destroyed! " My mother said stressfully, while leaning her hand against her cheek. She looked very disappointed and sad. I didn't know what to do or what to say... So I just told her another sad Thanksgiving story, hoping that ours sound worse then the one today. " Well, our Dad never really knew how to cook beautiful home cooked meals, so we ordered food from our favorite restaurant... Tally's Pancake In. " Tally made the best waffles and sausages in town, and we ate there every Thanksgiving. She laughed. " That sounds awful. " She said, still continuing to laugh. I then chuckle. " Yeah, " Yeah it was, but that didn't matter to us. " " All that mattered was that we had each other. " " We were all together smiling, no matter how much Thanksgiving sucked for us, " We just wanted to be together. " I then reach out for my mother's hand, across the kitchen table. And she holds my hand back... Smiling at me. " This is our first Thanksgiving, with you, and without Dad. " " So let's just enjoy the fact that we have each other. " " Okay? " I said to my Mom, looking deep into her hazel brown eyes. She smiled at me with hope in her eye's, while patting my hand, that she was holding. " When did you get to be so smart? " She asked jokingly. We then laugh together, while having our first Mother and daughter moment on the day of Thanksgiving. " I use to dream about these moments in my head, all the time... Trying to get that perfect day dream of her. " .... " But this moment couldn't have been more perfect. " If you dare want to read more about these moments... Then Turn The Page.Love,
Eddie.... 🙌
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! 💋💞💕✌
