Your POV

I was getting ready for Eddie's birthday party. The party is Halloween themed, so I chose to dress up as Shrek. (If you have a phobia of Shrek, you're welcome to chose your own Halloween costume) I told Olivia to get me the mask and I'll just wear a black hoodie over it and a pair of black jeans. Everything black.

"What time does the party end?" Olivia asked from downstairs. "8 p.m. but if you want, you can pick me up early." I grabbed the present and ran downstairs. "Doesn't matter, I'll pick you up at 8, let's go." She grabbed her car keys and walked off.

Supposedly Richie should be helping Eddie with the decorations and set up. After yesterday's incident. I remember Stanly telling me about Eddie's dad dying off cancer whenEddie was only 3. It must've been harsh for both his mom and him.

Growing up without a dad can change a kiddos life. Maybe that's the reason he's such a whinny.

"Can I ask you something y/n?" Olivia started the engine. "Yeah sure, what's up?" I said while buckling up my seat belt. "I've seen you a lot with the Tozier's son lately. Is there something you want to tell me about him?" She turned to me.

I flushed deep red. It was true. Richie and I have become inseparable. Everywhere he is, I'm next to him. Everywhere I am, he's next to me. Anyone would be suspicious about it anyways.

"About Richie. He asked me to be his girlfriend, a while back—"
"Girlfriend? Did this happen when you were with the Toziers by then?" She cut me off. "Yeah, I told him I wasn't sure. A relationship with him under the same roof didn't sound good to me. So I let that thought away." I explained. "So did you just leave because of Ri—" "No no no! I didn't leave the Tozier's just because of Richie. I was very excited about being part of your family. Don't think about it that way." I quickly said. "It's hard not to, but are you guys a thing?" She asked again. "I guess." I looked at my folded hands. "No tell me, are you guys together?" She repeated. "Yes. We're together." I replied. "For how long exactly?" She questioned. "Since yesterday." I said. I mean, we made a deal about us dating only if he did a phot shoot with Ed. Which was yesterday. "When were you going to tell us?" She started to drive out the garage. "Actually, He was gonna to come tomorrow afternoon. To talk about that, to both you and Jonathan." I cracked a smile. "Oh lord, let's see what your dad says about that." She chuckled. "I'm still nervous, I need both of your approvals." I shrugged in my seat. "Count on mine, but not so much of Jonathan's, it'll probably take him time to approve him." She took a right turn and stopped by a stop sign. "That's what I thought." I snickered. "Just get to him when he's in a good mood." She winked and stopped in front of Eddie's house. "Yeah, I will." I grabbed the present and got off the car. "Stay safe ok, don't get too excited with Richie." She said through the window. "Don't worry, I won't. What could go wrong." I baffled and walked to the front door.

I put my Shrek mask on and knocked on the door. I heard running from the inside and pushing all over the place. "I'll get it!" I heard Richie yell. "I'm the host! I'll get it!" Eddie complained. "But it's y/n! I'll just open it!" Richie complained. "So, it should be me, you douchebag!" Eddie said.

I shook my head and opened the door myself. Revealing Richie on top of Eddie about to punch him.

I dropped the gift, and stood there. "Holy sh*t! Who are you?" Richie got off Eddie. "Umm, y/n?" I said. "Your costume is so scary!" Eddie said. "I just have a mask and a black hoodie on, how is that scary?" I chuckled. "It looks like a green infection." Eddie flushed deep red. "I though you were over that bull crap." Richie adjusted his glasses. "I'm working on it Richie, try working on your manners some time." Eddie replied. "You moth—"
"Let's not fight right now, where are the rest of the boys?" I looked around. "They're outside, in the trampoline." Richie pointed to the door that led to the back yard. "Let's go then." I smiled, and wrapped my arms around their shoulders and walked them outside. Richie was dressed as a vampire. That looked very cute on him. He had fake fangs on and a long black cape that reached the floor. And Eddie. Not so much of him, he was dressed as a frog.
