Luella Danlelle. 17. Canothy.
One of the Canothelians writes it all down in his legal pad. I flinch as he glances up occasionally. They are surprised. Actually, shocked. To have come across a person who is seeing death right in the face- yet, I am still calm. They are worried, I can tell, but I am not.
Value? They ask.
Worthless. I say, trying not to make too much of a reaction from that. Based on the looks I am getting, I am failing miserably.
Worthless? He repeats, as if once was not enough. I roll my eyes and stare at the stone grey concrete ground for a couple more minutes.
Well then, he finally says. Send her to the cell, he commands.
His are the last pair of eyes I stare into. Deep, blue pools, darkened. Empty yet each hiding its secrets. They say the eyes are the windows to the souls. I want to make him feel guilty.
I want him to realise.
He ended my life.
