CHAPTER ONE"36, 34, ugggghhhh what the hell is my combination!?" I say louder than intended.
Mrs. Burten gave me that dirty look she always does. Not because I said an "ungodly" word in a catholic school but because I'm Elizabeth. Everyone knows me and my story. It's not pretty either. I'm surprised I'm let in a school much less this "Catholic" school.
I hear a loud speaker say "Elizabeth Halite please come down to the Dean's office as soon as possible."
"Shit, what again?" I said under my breath.
Nobody bothers to say "oooooo" anymore because it's so frequent I go to the Dean's. I'm not proud of it but at the same time I usually get I into trouble for things I shouldn't. Or at least I think I shouldn't.
"Elizabeth, I think you should see a counselor." The dean said.
"No! I've told you people before that there is no way I'm seeing a counselor!"
"Well if you refuse, would you be interested in talking to a student?"
"What the hell ever."
"Okay, great!" "We will pare you up with Joe to meet everyday from Friday-Sunday."
"What?!" "Your paring me up with a fucking guy?!"
"Honey, he's a great student and also has a talent in helping students similar to you."
"God I'm going to regret this." I say to myself in a slight whisper.
"You may go to class now, here is your pass."
I rolled my eyes. Obviously I wasn't going to class. "Hmmm, Starbucks or Cookout?" "Definently Starbucks."
