My Hero

Hi my name is Gabby I go to River Valley High School in Athens, Georgia home to the River Valley High School Basketball team. My dad coach's on the team so I get to sit in the locker room and hang out with the guys.

"Gabby can you stop staring at me and my unit" Elliot the star player says. They all laugh I say "I couldn't be staring at your unit because your unit is about as big as my ego and my ego is very, very small." they laugh then my dad comes in and says "Boys what is going on in here?" I laugh and say "I'm just telling Elliot to stop flirting and reminding him of your rule" he walks over to Elliot and says "You touch my daughter and that nonexistent unit all the girls talk about will be ripped off and stapled to your forehead got it?" I can hear him gulp as my dad walks away. Then Jameson says "Guys can I have a minute?" they walk out leaving us alone then he runs over and pins me up against the locker. He pulls out a knife and cuts away my shirt and says "Scream and I'll cut your throat" I say "I wasn't planning on it" then disarm him kick him in the stomach then throw him against the lockers. When I do that the guys walk in to see my cut chest and Mt dad yells "What the h**l Jameson" he yells "your daughter is psycho I walk to talk to her and she hits me then I grab my pocket knife in self-defense and she tries to hit me with it." I say "That's not what the video camera's are going to say" he gulps and says "Video cameras?" I say "Yes video camera's" then walk away.

I went home with Elliot and he says "You ok?" I turn to him and shake my head then he grabs my waist and helps me inside up the stairs then I start sobbing he holds me then says "Hey Jess i'm sorry I shouldn't have left you in there it will be okay though I promise you i'm not letting you out of my sites" I nod then say "What's with this change of attitude you used to hate me and pick on me?" he sighs then says "Gabby I never hated you..." I cut him off by saying "You know how many times I wanted to kill myself because of you everything you said hurt bad especially from you" he looks at me I can see the tears on the brim about to fall and he says "Gabby I am so genuinely sorry I had no idea I hurt you this bad the only reason I picked on you was because I wanted your attention see the thing is Gabby I really really  like you but I just  didn't know how to tell you please forgive me" I sit there with my mouth on the ground and say "I will forgive you but you can't bully me at school anymore if your going to be my boyfriend" He says "Deal but what about your dad?" "He doesn't have to know and he just sits there holding me then my dad pulls in and comes into my room and says "What the H*ll Elliot?" I say "Dad it's not like that I was upset because of the whole Jameson thing so he comforted me ok? that's it?" My dad relaxes then says "son me and my daughter need to talk we'll see you tomorrow" he nods hugs me then walks out.

My dad comes over to me and says "Baby girl what happened?" I start crying and he hugs me then I say "Well Jameson told all the guys to leave for a minute and when they did he pushed me up against the lockers then pulled out his knife and cut my shirt then I flipped and kicked him and threw him into the lockers" he looks relived and I say "Why do you look relieved you only daughter almost got raped today and your relived" He says "Baby girl no, no I'm relived he didn't rape you ok?" I relax then say "I'm sorry it's just the nerves are just still buzzing and my head hurts can I sleep?" He says "I get it baby girl take a nice nap it will help calm those nerves" he walks out and I sit back sinking into my pillow smelling the scent of Elliot's hoodie I took and fall asleep.
