Deadly Rose

Chapter 22

Rose pov ~

"Well what exactly are we gonna do with him." I say as we are all in Cal's office in the pack house. I am still numb and trying to hold all my emotions together with everything has happened. The sudden loss of the mate bond and Jace not being next to me has me in chaos. Since i don't have a wolf Cal says i have gotten off a little easier than most wolfs do. When their mates die their wolf goes crazy from the pain and emotional loss of their soul mate. Most don't survive and many don't even get a second chance mate. Me being half vampire most of this didn't apply to me but since i was Jace's mate were all i little worried and confused how i might affect me. So far i just feel empty like something is missing. It scares me a little but i'm trying to cope with it knowing Jace he wouldn't want me to dwell on the pass but to keep living and stay strong. However with this new development with his older brother and him being the one who killed him has many emotions running through me. So far he is chained up down deep in Cal's pack dungeons because one he killed a beta and two the only person he recognized was me.

"Honestly i have no clue but he can't get away with killing his own family." Says Cal huffing in frustration. She knew Dominic but only in the beginning when they were all small and he father was still alpha of the pack. He apparently was kidnapped a long time ago and no one has heard anything about him for years. Including me i used to go over to Jace and Dominic's house when i was a child since my mother was friends with their parents.

"Alpha if i may say does he even know he killed his brother in all honesty i don't think he even realizes what is going on. When we took him in he didn't see Jace's body let alone barely had any recognition to Rose. To me it seems like he only knows his name and what Rose looked like." Says Icy. She for right now filling Jace's position. Cal looks deep in thought as a knock is heard on the door. Cal tells them to enter as Day and Jay walk in with Damion in tow.

"We may have something interesting that might help with what to do with Dominic." Says Damion as we all pay attention to what he is going to say.

"As we were gathering some intel on Lucius we came across something that peeked our interest." Says Jay as he holds out a file to Cal which she takes and reads over it. Her face is in complete shock when she is finally done.

"You think he may be a hybrid!" she practically yells. Causing everyone to look between Cal and my father.

"We believe that this is why Lucius is after damphirs. He wants to turn them into these hybrids. Same with is you had a half bred wolf which that was what Dominic was wasn't he." Says day which has Cal thinking. She scoots back to be able to open her draw in her desk and pull out a file with Jake and Dominic's family name on it. She skims through it and then looks up at us.

"He was seems that their father had an affair with a human which was what Dominic was the outcome of." She says

"From what we can gather it seems that Lucius is trying to create a Hybrid army to overthrow the supernatural world and the strongest ones he can make are half vampire half wolf. If you were to have a 'Lycan' is what we call them bite a dhampir they would turn into said creature. But what we don't know is how he created one to begin with since those types of monsters were whipped out a long time ago." Says Damion.

"The only way he could have made one was to have a full breed master vampire and full breed Alpha wolf bite the halflings." Says Cal.

"There is a tale of such said thing in our kind's history same as for you. However this was forbidden long ago since 'Lycans' can't control themselves and just go into a murderous state." She says looking straight at Damon who nods in agreement.

"But that doesn't explain Dominic's behavior as soon as he saw Rose he stopped attacking." Says Cal as Damion  and her pond over this thought.

"Let's go see about this Lycan Dominic than." Says Ruby who spoke up from the doorway making everyone jump.

"God dammit Ruby about scared me half to death!" Says Cal giving Ruby a pointed look to which she just chuckles too.

"We will have to take Rose though and bring a pic of Jace we will see how much he can remember." Says Ruby as Cal doesn't look like she likes the idea and neither does anybody else but i somehow agree with her. Me, Ruby, Cal, and Damion walk through the pack house and out the back door heading to the little building that contains the entryway to the dungeons. We walk up to the entrance where two of Cal's pack warriors are standing guard and greet he as she walks up. She talks with them and they open up the door to stairways that lead down to the cells. We walk all the way down the hall to a big cells with the struy iron bars laced with wolfsbane. Through the dim light i can see a figure sitted down on the ground covered in chains. You can smell the skin burning because of the chains that are the same as the bars but it doesn't seem to faze Dominic.

"What do you want." Says a deep and raspy voice. Its Dominic he actually spoke.

"Well i can tell you right now Lycans usually don't even talk." Says Damion in  a low voice.

"I heard that vampire." Says Dominic to which my father ignores.

"Dominic do you remember your younger brother Jace?" Says Cal in an Alpha tone which doesn't seem to affect Dominic in the slightest. His face lights up with recognition at the name but that light fades away showing his emotionless face.

"Yes why." He says mono-tonelessly.

"He was the wolf you killed earlier today." Says Cal with no emotion in her voice. dominic's head falls down not letting us see his reaction.

"So what happens now. From what i can tell that wolf was in a high ranking position. Which means if he was he was either Beta of Delta. The killing of said wither means death." he says without missing a beat.

"This is why we are here to figure out what will happen to you." I say as he looks up and see a flash of regret and pain but quickly vanished as he looks up at me.

"You look familiar why do you look so familiar and why do you smell so intoxicating." He says through gritted teeth. His eyes flash from a dark brown to a piercing icy blue.

"This is very interesting." Says a smirking Ruby as Cal and Damion don't look the same way.

"What do you mean Dominic." Says Cal who does not seem to like where this is going. Something inside me also begins to stir as did earlier when i met his eyes the first time. A powerful growl emanates from him as his eyes turn to their icy blue completely. The growl makes me shiver.

"Give me my mate NOW." Says a deep and powerful voice making Cal growl back and my father hiss lowly.
