Someone

     It's been a year since we broke up. I was the one who ended our relationship ‘cause I know it’s not working.

     I’m Daphne, 18 years old, 3rd year IT student. I’ve been experienced a lot of heartaches in my relationships and the worst is my last relationship with him.

     It was my high school friend, Bry, who gave my number to his bestfriend, Ram. We’ve been textmates for several months and became close to each other even if we didn’t meet each other yet. During those days, I felt like we know each other very well so we decided to put our relationship into more than friends. We’ve been in a relationship for almost a year but as days passed by, we’re getting tired to understand our situation. They say that “long-distance relationship” is not working, well, it happened to us and it’s proven and that’s how our story ended.

“Class, go to your groupmates and plan about your research.” our professor said as she continues what she’s doing on her table.

“So what’s our plan now?” I asked my two groupmates.

“Let’s start with the background, what do you think?” Kevin suggested.

“It would be better if we proceed to the title first.” Lance had a point.

     After two months of hardworks for our research, we’re very glad and fortunate because out of ten groups, four have passed including our group. During those hardworks, we’ve been always together and we became closer to each other especially me and Lance. He became the leader of our group and he always motivates us.

     Lance and I had been closer to each other not only through text but also through our conversations in school. He court me for almost three months and he always makes effort to show me that he’s worth loving for. We’re now in a relationship and I can say that through my experiences in relationship, I’m now strong enough to face and overcome heartaches and continue our relationship filled with love.

     There’s nothing wrong in experiencing heartaches because heartbreaks are blessings from God because it saves us from someone who doesn’t deserved to be loved and we must forget the things that made us cry and focus on the present that completes our smile. For now, Lance is my bestfriend, boyfriend and especially the “someone” that completes my smile.
