The biggest mistake

The first time I heard Sofia Carson's song Love is the name,I was down/up/over at Drew's club we were dancing. But i'm getting ahead of myself let me tell you who i am and what i'm doing here. My name is Merilyn i'm a 27 year old woman, I work at a the local target Store, I live in the stick in the hole house in the city of Fresno. Without me knowing it my life was taking a turn for the worst, my life started to change on friday August 18th.
It was a normal day like any other, then i seen one of my old friends from high school his name was drew. Back in the day everyone called Drew the king of the school, because he can get away with anything and everything. After a couple hours drew came to my register "hey did you go to Aliotta High school, you look familiar." As i was putting the stuff he bought in the bag i looked at him saying "Yes i did Drew its me Merilyn we used to hang out, we were friends."
Drew grabbed an invitation out of his back pocket handing it to me "here i'm hosting a get together at my club i have i'm the manager, you should come and see everyone again." after that he left the store with the invite in my hand as i stand there in shock. Later that night i went home looking at the invite, i grabbing my most expensive dress out of my closet it was a black silk dress with jewels all on the bottom of it. I went to where the invite said to go as i got there i seen everyone and then i went in and the song started playing. So you're now up to speed to what has happened so far so let me continue.
As i was dancing around me and everyone was talking to one another taking drinks and playing stupid games, then i remembered they always pretend to be my friend they never truly where my friends. As i realized this i stop drinking and start to walk out in fear of what they might have planned but, Drew stopped me "Hey Merilyn where do you think your going the party's just getting started."
"Umm.....well you see i.....forgot to feed my dog so ...ya that's it." Drew grabbed my hand my started to pulling me away from the door . "just forget about your dog where about to go down memory lane." i start to tremble as all the thoughts of what they may have put together came into my mind, everyone was sitting at a table as they start to start a little slideshow of photos as i start to sit down to watch.
The photos on the slide showed some funny pranks we all did together, embarrassing moments that me and Drew got into. I was really shocked that they have grown up instead of putting something that would embarrass me. After some time they got me comfortable to be there, but then there was this rattling sound getting closer and closer to where we are as i turned around to see this dolly table holding a large three layer cake. As i got up closer to see the cake there was an embarrassing picture of me on the cake as everyone laughed at the cake i slowly backed away running far away from there as I could.
Later that week Drew showed up at my work again
"Hey Merilyn what happened to you two days ago you went missing."
"Hi Drew , sorry i ran out there where bad memories from being there especially when the others brought out the cake."
"I understand you don't have to apologize the others can be jerks but, if it helps i had no clue about the cake at all."
"Merilyn get back to work"
"Sorry Drew i got to work why don't you call me later."
I looked for some paper and put my phone number on it handing it to Drew as i started to go back doing my job. Once my shift was over i rushed out the doors and started to walk home, my phone started to ring. I grab my phone seeing that it some number i don't know so i answer it, as i thought it was Drews voice on the other end. As i start to approach my house there was a loud shatter, i run in side as i see one of my windows broken.
I look around the window to see what might of happened but, there was nothing on the floor that could have came through the window. I started to panic as i go search the house, as i walked around there was a dinging noise, i looked at my phone to see nothing so i followed the noise. I got to my closet opening it to see Drew in there hiding.
"What are you doing in my house, how do you even know where i lived."
"Umm..well...you where not answering your door so i broke in and, one of your co workers told me."
I shake my head thinking on how, i should have never whent to that party because then he would not be in my life again.
"Well you should have waited outside i just got off work, now if you don't mind i will call the cops for breaking and entering if you don't buy me a new window."
"Fine fine call down ill buy you a new window."
As months pass things only got worse Drew kept causing trouble for me at work and he kept finding ways to be in my house. I had enuf of it so one day after work i was on my way home to tell him he needs to stop this i seen him with the people at the party, i could not hear everything but it sounded like he was telling them to stop.
As i get closer to find out what was going it got quiet and then there was a sound like a hundred waves clashing at once. I did not stay long because i did not want to get involved with them again so, i went back to walked home. As i got home it got to a point where it was not normal for me to not see Drew there before i was, it was like something was wrong iso i made the decision i felt that i would regret one day. As Drew showed up at home i made the mistake of not telling him to leave i'm done with him in my life, instead i look at him
"Drew i'm glad that your back into my life again you a good friend."
Little did i know right after i said that he was going to leave and never come back, it went through my mind wondering if i did tell him would he have stayed and not left. As years went by my life went back to how it was befor Drew came in, but with more of a empting feeling inside me. It was like he made me feel whole, and important to someone for once in my life. So once i seen him again around the christmas time when he was doing some shopping, i followed him a little through the store till i belt up the courage to talk to him as the room started to feel very hot.
"Uum... Drew..ugh...hi its been awhile what happened to you."
"Oh hi Merilyn ya sorry for leaving you just stuff happened where i know i could never make that dream happen."
As Drew looked at the ground blushing i looked at him, as i quickly gave him a hug.
"Come over my place tomorrow night it will be fun i promise."
Drew nodded his head yes, as i jumped in joy as i could feel that hole in me starting to go away. The next day i spent the whole morning preparing for Drew to come over. As it reached about time for him to come over he was already there , we ate dinner and listen to music as the song Love is the name came on.
"Hey this was the song that was playing when you showed up to the get together."
I blushed because he remembered such a small detail like that.
"Ya your right it is."
There was a long pause before another word was spoken. As time past at the same time we said
"I missed you please go out with me i love you."
Ever since then we been together happily until, he makes me think i made a mistake for him doing something stupid over and over again.
