"Jaylen! Get down here and eat! Your gonna miss your bus!" I rolled out of bed knowing today was the first day of summer camp. "Coming!" I hollered sleepily. I ran downstairs after putting some socks on.
The plate of waffles lay in front of me and I gobbled them up. "Thanks Mom!" I ran upstairs to take a shower.
After I was done, I got dressed and found the bag I packed earlier and headed to my best friends house.
I knocked on the door. Lia, my friend, was in her pajamas still brushing her teeth. She motioned for me to come in. I went to her house because she was coming with me, and her house was close to the bus stop. She went to the bathroom and spit out the toothpaste.
I went to her bedroom which was upstairs. "Wow you cleaned it!" She hit me. "Shut up its the only way my parents would let me go!" We laughed. "Is your bag packed?" "Yeah except for a few minor things." She replied. I watched her put the last things in her bag and cram it closed so it would zip.
The bus was here.
She said goodbye to her parents and we ran to the bus. Summer camp here we come!
