I met Jake when I was 11. We we're in the same class at a mixed gender school. He was outgoing and popular whilst I was antisocial and smart. We were polar opposites. He wore ripped jeans and button up shirts (and never had them done up) whilst I wore hoodies and jogging bottoms. Our story begins in a small town in England. Life was quiet and peaceful until my life took a turn. A very sharp one...
"Hey Mum, what's happening at home, there are sirens and blue lights everywhere!" I said trying to see if Mum actually knew.
"Your father overdosed and has set fire to the house!" She yelled and then cried suddenly.
"Melanie, Katy and Marcus were in the house, on the balcony! They are in those ambulances and your father, well he's still inside refusing to leave..." Her voice trailed of and she pointed up to the top window before crying into my shoulder. Dad was yelling at the crew telling them to leave him to die alone and Lianna was shouting to him. She was only 13 and wanted to protect her younger siblings, being the 2nd oldest I had to help the others, but my brain is different to theirs and I ran into the building. It wasn't on fire and nothing had been on fire so it was safe, but Dad wasn't. He wasn't sane anymore. After the accident he started taking a drug to help with trauma but it only made him worse that before. He yelled and shouted and tried to kill himself but it never worked. He almost lost Jenavive and Jackson in the crash, the twins were still in ICU and only just waking up. Although now it had been a year fighting legal battles. Dad and Mom said that the crash was caused by dangerous driving, but the guy said it was because the young girl was only 18 and it was icy so she could not be charged. It apparently was a mere accident, not attempted murder. Maya was her name, the girl that apparently almost murdered the twins. Maya Kirkwood. She wasn't even on the road the night of the accident, she was at a party with some of Lianna's older friends. Dad was sat at the top of the building but I knew I could get him. He was only the weight of a 16 year old meaning he was easy to carry out. After that I left for the park where I first talked to Jake. He was sat on the bench on his phone, his brown hair specked with ice. It was a cold day and I walked past him but I could feel his eyes watching my every move, quickly I said
"What are you looking at?" I shot him an icey glare,
"Nothing but a beautiful British girl," he said cheekily before I hurried of to the top of the equipment in the play park. Looking down I saw his hazel eyes look up to me before darting back down to his phone
He really did like me...
That is what I thought after the park thing. Being 11 I thought it was gross but Jake was I wrong...

Brought to you by the most amazing girl!
