11-year-old Cassie is straight, there shouldn't be anything wrong with that right? Wrong! In the world that Cassie lives in being straight is a sin, and being gay is okay. Everyday Cassie is made fun of for being straight, kids pick on her and throw food and rocks at her at school. The teachers treat her differently and her parents don't like her. Cassie is left with the decision to stay straight and continue her life with the hate, or to turn gay and be "okay." But this decision comes to a lot of changes she would have to make.
