Lost

Ever since the accident caused me to lose my leg I've been so lost. Being stuck in hospital doesn't help. Ever since I was 5 years old all I wanted was to be an Olympic soccer player, and now clearly, those dreams, are shattered! You hear all these amazing comeback stories, like Bethany Hamilton losing her arm and after hardships comeback and better than ever! Yeah, she didn't lose her leg. I can bet it would of been a whole lot harder to make a comeback if she lost her leg. Soccers the same it's a sport about using your legs! Now you may say just get a prosthetic leg Hannah, you can still live a normal life. Well you see, running and walking with prosthetic leg can be easy if you lost your leg below your knee, I lost my whole leg and let's just say prosthetics for any part of your body ain't cheap, a prosthetic for an entire leg, that's a whole different story; and let it be known my family isn't exactly rich. Just being here at the hospital is a stretch, so I'm pretty sure my parents aren't going to be able to afford a prosthetic with all my doctor appointments school and these new hospital visits.

     With my parents working, they couldn't always be at the hospital with me so naturally I got kinda lonely. Bored I decided to pick up a book my parents had brought me to kill some time, I reached over to the table beside the bed and reached for the book  for a felt a throbbing pain past where my leg had been amputated. Phantom pains I thought, I had heard my doctor telling my mom about these. I guess it was time for more ibuprofen. I reached over to the bedside when I remembered the doctor had taken the bottle with him when my parents had left. I guess if it's wearing off he should be back soon to ask if my leg had started hurting again. Bearing through the pain I reached back over to my nightstand to grab my book.  I might as well try to take my mind off it I thought
