It's been a year since you and James became friends. He was your closest guy friend. He was a great listener, so were you. In fact, he was more then a friend. He was your best friend, your brother. If there was anything wrong, or something is not right, he was there. You had his shoulder to cry on. He changed your life, for the better.
You got startled when your phone rang. You looked at the caller ID and smiled. James.
"Hey!" you say after answering
"Hey, there."
You can tell he was smiling.
"So, what's up?" you ask.
"I was wondering if you'd wanna go out..like to the movies."
"What movie? I don't wanna see a movie I've already seen" you let out a slight laugh.
"I was hoping you'd pick out the movie.."
"R-Really?"
"Yes."
Your jaw dropped. Every time you went to the movies with James, he'd pick out the movie and you'd agreed or disagreed.
"What about you just come over? There's no good movies out anyway." you lied.
"Yeah, sure, I'll be over in a few." he said before hanging up.
Luckily, he wasn't that good at picking up your lying.
Before you knew it, he was right next to you. He knew you always left the door unlocked for him.
"You can pick out the movie. I've seen them all like 10 times" you said, playing with your hair.
"No. I gotta ask you something."
"What is it?" your eyes beamed at him with a questioning look.
"Will you go out with me? Like boyfriend and girlfriend?"
Your eyes widned.
"You don't have to say yes. I just really like you, that's all." he said, looking down.
You lifted his head and kissed him gently.
"Does that answer your question?"
He smiled and nodded.
