dear Lotus,

okay, now i'm really curious as to who you are.
we've never talked to one another in person, but we're in two of the same classes...hmm, that leaves a lot of options...

and i have to admit, i wasn't expecting you to be so smart...

and you speak the language of love? je suis impressionné.

anyways, why do you want to know where i go off to during breaktimes so bad? it's no where exciting...

i didn't really want to share this, but i trust you for some reason (i hope this is the right decision).

okay, so there's this little girl - her name is Riley and she's only six years old. she used to get bullied by the other kids in her grade for being smaller than average and for having a 'boys' name.

one day during lunch break, i happened to walk by the preschoolers playground on my usual walk (back when i felt the need to escape from the over-populated highschoolers)

anyways, i witnessed Reilly attempting to play with the other kids on the playground. they refused, then pushed her to the ground and ran off laughing. she grazed both her hands from the fall and began to cry.

it hurt to watch because i understood how she felt. unwanted, alone, and discouraged. and she was so young.

i rushed to her aid and cleaned her up as best i could. i wrapped bandages around her hands and wiped away her tears, then i talked to her for a while until she smiled.

for a whole week after that incident, i proceeded to visit her during the break times so she had company.

she was also my company.

the week turned into months, and she started to smile again. it made me happy.

i encouraged her to be more confident and to never listen to the bullies. it took a while, but she finally started to believe in herself.

lately she's been making friends with people that accept her. i told her that she didn't need me anymore, and that i'd still visit often to say hello.

and so, that's where i've been disappearing off to lately.

so...now you know...

Au revoir

Kai
