I was dreaming again. This time, my grandfather wasn't in it. It was the future, instead of the past. A massive Hell Gate was open, and I was in somewhere that looked like a battered Manhattan. There were other Hell Walkers, like me. We all had firearms, and there was carnage everywhere. More Demons than the eye could see.
Something was trying to come out of the gates. A Titan perhaps? Or maybe a god from Hell, come to wreak havoc. Whatever it was, tentacles were emerging from the gateway, reaching out, probing for something. We had to close the gate. Demons were rushing out of the gate like blood out of an open wound.
Daniel had his M60 mounted to a destroyed car, and the barrel was glowing red hot from mowing down hundreds of demons. He didn't have to switch the barrels because he enchanted the gun's barrel so it would never break or bend out of shape. But it was glowing white hot, and another Hell Walker was feeding him ammo. I had a M249 SAW, but it was out of ammo entirely. All I had left was the Glock I found in Hell.
I heard someone yell 'WATCH OUT! ANOTHER RIFT IS COMING!"
We all looked ahead of us, as the glow of a Hell Rift enveloped us all. The ground was shifting and splitting open as Hell energy erupted out of the ground, and the following explosion slung huge pieces of wreckage and destroyed vehicles into the air, and I felt myself knocked off of my feet.
I suddenly awoke to Daniel shaking me, yelling at me to get up. He was in full battle gear.
"What's going on?" I asked, groggily.
"Take a look outside." said Daniel, cryptically.
I got up, got my clothes on, then strapped on some body armor. I grabbed my Glock and an M16A1 that had an M203 grenade launcher attached to it. I stepped outside of the bunker, and almost lost my footing as the ground violently shook.
"What the Hell?!" I exclaimed.
"Literally." As Daniel said this, he pointed into the distance.
There was a huge vertical red line of crackling energy that was at least as tall as a mountain, and it was casting an eerie red glow in the night sky. Suddenly, the red line of energy violently exploded, and a huge gate suddenly materialized. Chains were attached to this gate. These chains came from underground, and the upper chains seemed to reach infinitely into the sky.
It was slowly opening, unleashing a fiery glow. A Hell Gate. These were only used during invasions from Hell. The air started to suddenly smell like brimstone and sulfur. I looked at Daniel.
He said "It's time to leave Japan."
I replied, "Agreed."
"But the bad news is, we'll have to cut through the heart of Tokyo. Things will get bad."
"How bad?"
Daniel sighed, then said "The Infernal Plague will be unleashed, turning any normal humans into demonic abominations. Throw this in with actual Demons, and we've got a huge problem on our hands."
"But we'll fight?" I asked.
"Yes. Because we were born for this." Daniel replied.
He gripped tightly onto his M60, and we started to move towards Tokyo itself. For those of you wondering, the Infernal Plague is a virus that Demons of Hell use on regular humans. It instantly goes into effect, morphing and twisting a victim's body. It shatters bones and distorts bodies. Most importantly, it eats the mind alive and consumes the soul, leaving a husk that acts like a zombie.
Long story short, it sounds horrifying and I'll be seeing it in person for the first time ever. A huge blast of Hell energy sheared a skyscraper in half, raining a cloud of debris on the streets below. Shit. It began to rain sulfur, brimstone, and hot glass. It was like Sodom and Gomorrah from the Bible.
