What if we are not meant to be?

          "Are you going to sit next to me today? You're JR is not going to the same hospital as we do." Shine asked Lystie as she takes a seat near to the window. Lystie nodded without saying a word. The wind that blows through the open window of the bus has made some of the students fall asleep. Lystie covers her eyes with her jacket, trying hard to sleep like the rest of the students, but she could not, her mind is still thinking about Jordan. "You're Mike, right? May I know where Jordan is?" Lystie asked one of Jordan's classmates. "Yea, I remember her. She was the one in the picture. I should ask her instead." Mike whispered to himself. "He will have his practical in Jeriacho Hospital, 6 hours from Cambrina College and add 3 more hours to go to Charites Hospital." Mike answered clearly as if he understands Lystie's worries. "Ow, I see. Thanks." Lystie thanked Mike. "This is your first time talking to me. I never saw anyone talking to you other than Jordan or that person beside you." Mike started to talk to Lystie. Lystie went silence for a few seconds. "Am I?" Lystie laughed forcefully although it was not funny. "Are you Jordan's girl by any chance?" Mike was curious. Mike has pressed the right button; it makes Lystie to turn her face and looked straight to Mike's eye without commenting anything. "Come on here, sit next to me. We can story-story..." Mike acted like a kindergarten kid while inviting Lystie to sit next to him. Lystie leaves her bags next to Shine and walked towards the empty seat next to Mike. "What do you know about me?" Lystie asked as soon as she reached the seat. "Nothing, Jordan never tells us about his girlfriend or his status. But you are cute." Mike praises Lystie. "And short, that's what people around me used to tell me." Lystie added. Mike burst out laughing. "What do you like about Jordan?" Mike asked; he passed a plastic of junk food to Lystie. Lystie grabs it and eat it. "Well...well... I have no comment on that. It started with misunderstanding and then end up trapping in a relationship with him." Mike was moved by Lystie's outburst. Suddenly Lystie felt as she was being stared. She looked around her and some students that were not sleeping watching the both of them, including Shine. "Let's talk again next time dude." Lystie force a smile while returning to her original seat. "Are you okay? Why did you come back here?" Shine asked; her eyes focused on Lystie. Lystie zipped her mouth while hugging Shine tightly. Shine pat on Lystie's shoulder. "Let me introduce myself to you officially. I am Shine Clan, 22 years old..." Shine introductions caught Lystie's attention. "You don't mean it, right? You're 18 years old just like I do." Lystie corrected Shine. "Just listen to me, I am telling you the truth about myself, only for you today. If you throw the same question for me tomorrow, I'll knock you off and I won't tell you the truth anymore." Shine added. She covers Lystie's mouth with her jacket. "Did you remember the first time you saw me, I've been kept myself away from others especially you. I have so called 'love sick'. I have been repeating my 3rd semester for 2 years and at last I was given a chance to drop being a nursing student if my marks didn't get better. I think you knew the answer when you see me in a same class with you in my age." Shine throw her sight to the sky outside the window. "I'm begging you not to repeat my mistake; I don't want you to go through the same path like me. You should enjoy your life as a student." Shine's tears fall onto her cheek. Lystie wipe it off and smiles at her. "Chi, do you know a secret I've been keeping to myself? You are my first best friend. I never had someone like you before. You must promise me too, don't you ever give up on everything. I believe that I will fall sometimes too, but I don't think that falling is bad, it's just giving us time to stop everything and concentrate on one thing. When I fall, I will always try to stand even if it's hard sometimes. Being in love is something precious and appreciated, when we fail once, it'll improve us though. Don't you think so?" Lystie advice had moved Shine till her tears pouring to well and wet her jacket. "Let me be alone Lein." Shine said; sobbed. "Should I go some other place to sit?" Lystie stands and tried to walk towards Madam Leona's seat. Her both hands were held by someone; Shine on the right arm while Mike on the other arm. "Sit with Mike instead." Shine spoke out as she lifted her left eyebrow to Mike. "Mike." Lystie looked at him and he smiled back to her.
