I heard someone knocking on my bedroom door and I sat up slowly, rubbing my eyes and looked at the clock to see it was 8:30. I looked down at Ashton and kissed his forehead before getting up to see who was at the door when the knocking got more persistant.

"Hey Cassidy. Morning mom." I said through the slightly cracked door. I heard Ashton get up off the bed and move onto the floor with a pillow and unfolded the blanket that was left on the floor for him by my mom.

"Goodmorning. We have some wedding planning to do today and we are also picking a date so get ready and come downstairs." Cassidy said quite loudly.

"Cass, be a bit quiter please? Ashton is still sleeping. Well probabaly not anymore." I told my girlfriend trying to not be annoyed at being woken up early.

"Oh, yea sorry." She said blushing a bit. She looked so cute blushing and if I wasn't gay then I would totally have asked her to marry me by now because she's just so adorable sometimes.

"Well, I'll be down soon. Ashton is gonna be with us all day though because I promised him last night."

"That's fine babe. I'll see you downstairs." Cassidy said before kissing my cheek and walking back downstairs, my mom ruffling my hair and mumbling on about me growing up so fast. I knew at this moment that I needed to break up with Cassidy but I just didn't know how to. I felt Ashton come up behind my, wrapping his arms around my waist and his head agaisnt my back. I closed the bedroom door before turing around and hugging him back.

"Today. Get ready and go downstairs and tell her to come up. I can't do this any longer." I told him, tearing up a bit. Ashton nodded and got dressed and so did I. Soon I hear the bedroom door opening and see Cassidy entering.

"Uhh, I don't know how to do this cause I've never done it before so I'm gonna get straight to the point. I can't marry you Cassidy. I've been a bit confused recently and I love you, I do, just in a platonic way. I care very much for you and I'm so sorry for doing this to you, but I can't picture having a romantic future with you." I said looking down at the end, ready to start crying.

"I honestly felt like this was gonna happen sooner or later. You've been treating me more like a best friend than a girlfriend. I'm sorry this happened too." I hear her voice crack at the end. I got up and pulled her in for a hug before walking her out to my car so I can take her home.

"Thanks for like not getting all mad at me." I said quietly.

"Thanks for not commiting to a marriage when you're not 100% into it." She said back. The rest of the drive was silent and I walked her to the door and gave her once last kiss before walking back to my car and driving away.

When I got home, I saw Ashton and my mom talking. I smiled fondly at the two, feeling my heart warm up at my boyfriend and mom getting along so well, even if she didn't know that he was my boyfriend. I walked over and plopped down next to my mom, apologizing even though she didn't know what happened.

"Luke, honey, what are you sorry for?"

"I broke up with Cassidy. I couldn't commit to the marriage when I couldn't see a future with her romantically anymore." I said hugging her and looking at Ashton over her back as she hugged me too.

"What happened?"

"I guess I just fell out of love and it wouldn't have been fair to her if I married her." I said.

"Well, go get your face washed up and we can still all go out and do something for the day." My mom said ushering me upstairs. I hear footsteps behind me and see Ashton standing there with a small somber smile on his face.

"I'm proud of you." He said before walking into the bedroom. I followed him in and closed the door behind us. I leaned down and planted a soft gentle kiss on his perfect lips. We just stood and kissed for a while before going back downstairs.
