"We have too much family here, so whatever plan that you have...it better not put our kids in freaking--"

"Andres, listen to me. I am working with Roume and that other guy to come up with a plan to go against him. Its only been a week and we are trying to take down the president of the United States." He told me as if I didnt know. It was just all too much. My sisters here, , brother, my children, and this hideout has turned into a damn family vacation. My sisters really think Nix just got out of jail and that couldnt be more far from the truth.

"Okay, but I think I need to help. I just cant paint this fake smile on my face like everything is okay." I warned him. He exhaled and said, "Just take your long breath exercises you use to do. Or read a damn book. We are going to solve this. I promise."

Promise. A word I havent heard from him in a long time. That was the same word he told me the night before that courtdate where he shook my life up in pieces.

Flashback

I walked into the living room from just cleaning the kitchen and my phone started ringing. It was pass one in the morning. Probably my damn mom. I grabbed it from the coffee table and seen Roume number. I answered and said, "Agent Carter is ever--"

"Baby, its me." I heard Nix voice. My heart started beating like a 12 year old girl and he continued, "Dre, you there?"

I stuttered, "ye-yeah I am. How is this call happening right now?"

"Agent Carter came to see me. And my guards allowed it. Listen, promise me one thing that you will take care of our kids if anything goes wrong tomor--"

"Nix no need for that. You are coming home. No evidence even point-"

He sternly stated, "Listen. Listen to me carefully. Its been you and me since Hopscotch, frozen cups, and pickle egg on a hot summer day on my back porch. Andres you are the light of my life. You have always taken the wheel when I needed you to take the wheel. I lied to you when I came back in your life after all those years and said that I never was out of love you...I kind of did, but that was my cocky side talking because I knew I was going to get you back. But after marrying you and waking
up to you every morning I am the luckiest man alive because I got to fall in love twice with the same person. And if Im here and you are there...our hearts beat as one. So promise me you wont spend days eating ice cream and watching that damn LMN shit--" We both chuckled as tears ran down my face. He exhaled, "We got to live our lives and I want you to be the rock to our children as you are to me. And those are the facts."

"I promise." I told even though he was coming home with us tomorrow. He is just getting those last minute jitters like something can go wrong. He is coming home and thats that.

Present Day.

"Did you know?" I asked him as he walked towards the bathroom. He turned to me and asked, "Know what?"

"That night before the courtdate when you used Roume phone and called me. You knew already what the fuck you was about to do?" I asked him. He walked across the room and confessed, "Yeah. Before Roume was there...he and his detail was there and explained that he had been watching the house and if I dont confess to this crime yall will be hurt--"

"So you decided without talking to me to just let me sit there with our children...You told me to promise you to take care of the children and you knew I was about to let them down literally 9 hours later--" He tried to touch me and I backed up.
