It was quiet, breezy and warm. Marie and Sam lay unconscious crawling beneath a bed of emerald field. The soaring bird chirping woke both of them. Marie was the first to surge upwards, scanning the place for clues to where they are. Sam was still nodding from whatever that happened to them. Marie helped her up.
Where are they? What happened to them? For a moment Marie thought it was a dream, but quickly realized it was real. It hit her hard, she was panicking. It reminds her when the time she got lost on the park, when she was seven, running around to catch a hopping rabbit and find herself alone with a barrier of trees. It took several hours before her parents could discover her. This time it was worst, ten times more. They were in a vast of unfamiliar sight, with no building or people. All around them was the swathe of trees and mountains surrounding them.
"Where are we?" Sam asked, panicking, her eyes shooting into ever direction.
"I....don't know, all I remember was seeing a red light and then....woke up here" said Marie. She fiddles below her head and catch a glimpse of the necklace. Her heart pounded hard. She shifts her eyes to the left and saw a family of trees barricading them from seeing the other half of the side.
Puzzled with questions, they thought walking further might gave them the answer they needed. They shuffled along the grass, passing trees and stones, until a locomotive noise can be heard in the background.
Marie leaned in closer. "Can you hear that?"
"Yeah" Sam agreed.
"Let's find out what it is" Marie said. "It could be people...and maybe they could help us."
They dashed forward stammering the grass below them, running to gain closer to the sound; until they reach a cliff end. They couldn't perceive what had made the sound. It grew louder. The sound was chanting and ramming with a hundreds of people speaking at once. As they listen carefully, it sounded less speaking and more yelling, panting and exhausting. Slowly, they advanced to the cliff, carefully not to be sucked into the fall.
Their eyes connected with the source of the noises, it was terrifying, they faced a horror in their eyes. A swarm of people was fighting with weapons on their hand. People in armor clashing against each other, instead of sweat, blood was splattering, coming out of their bodies. It was unsettling, gazing on people stabbing and slashing each other, impaling their limps. The armies moaned and cried in pain. Marie felt chill coming over her spine, it was sickening, her face turned green; her stomach rumbling in disbelief, she could sense nausea sticking in her throat waiting for the right time to burst out.
"W-what.....h-howw" Marie voice mumbled.
Sam wraps her hands around her face covering her eyes. "That is sick! I can't watch it....what is happening...."
Sam couldn't see anything. Her eyes were rested in a dark that is her palm. The strangest thing was, even though she didn't want to see the atrocious bloodbath, she still sneaks a peek through the gap of her fingers. Every time she peeps, one limps had been removed from the soldier she sneaking her eyes on. Her body got to the best of her, her throat now was covered in slime; and she puked all over the fresh green grass.
Marie stroked gently on Sam's back. "It's ok... Just let it out." The green saliva did gross her out, but Sam was her friend. She couldn't let her suffer gauging her throat out of her body content. She stands by her.
"I'm – o – k" Sam tried muttering the word on each time she puked.
The bushes rattled a noise. Marie turned around to see a man was coming out of the shadow, forwarding his moves towards them. He was roughly the same height as them, blonde straight hair, soft blue eyes and had the perfect cheek bones Marie had ever seen from any guy in her life. He was wearing a blue armor with a phoenix symbol carved into his breast plate.
