Reunions

Shiek scanned the crowd of people, his eyes alert and his shoulders tensed. His red eyes were firm and calculating. He sighed from underneath the bandages that hid all of his face but for his eyes and took a tenative step forwards. It was his first week in this school, as it was for everyone, and in fact it was only his second day living in Hyrule. He was the cousin of the Princess, Zelda. If anyone had ever seen his face, which they wouldn't under any circumstances, they would agree. He looked a lot like his cousin, but his features were more... defined. Sheik had barely taken two steps when he bumped into someone. It was a boy about two inches shorter than him with blue eyes and blonde hair. His uniform was red. Sheik didn't understand the point of uniforms, and besides, no matter what anyone said he would continue to wear what he wore. He mumbled an apology. The red kid smiled. "I'm sorry, are you alright? I'm afraid I don't know you, and since i'm on the welcoming committee it's my job to know people." He giggled. Sheik shook his head. "It's my first day," He replied, voice muffled. The red boy smiled. "Well, my name is Red Shinku, but please call me Red. It'd be my pleasure to show you around if you'd be alright with that," Was Red's reply. 
Red Shinku? What an unusual name. Then again, his name was Sheik Hiretsuna . He nodded. Red smiled and turned on his heel. Sheik listened to music and tapped his foot slightly to the beat of the song as they walked.

Who is in control?
Shadow Yami sighed and hefted his bag to his other shoulder. The lyrics to Control by Halsey pounded his eardrums at full blast. He was without friends, as usual. Just because he dressed in dark clothes and had purple hair did not mean he was a demon. Somehow, though, the student body excluded him because of that accusation. Shadow was alone, in both senses of the word. He was lonely, physically and mentally. Heaving another sigh, he dropped his bag in his locker after taking out his sketchbook and pencil case. He had study hall first period, which meant he could improve his art. He needed to sell the artwork to get money. His father, the bastard he was, could barely cover rent, so it was up to Shadow to care for himself and his two brothers, Ben and Dark. His brothers were each younger, though Dark was only one year and Ben was two. In Shadow's spare time he had to work. He had a part time job as the librarian's assistant for fifty dollars a week. Shadow ran a hand through his hair and walked slowly to class. He, being the 'rebel' he was, wasn't wearing the school uniform. Well, he was... sort of. The blazer with the school logo was replaced by a black hoodie. The tie was replaced by a black choker. He wore the school shirt, but he wore tights instead of the usual school slacks. He popped his gum and sat in the library where study hall was held. Nobody sat near him, as usual. He opened the sketchbook, flipping past drawings he only saw as terrible. He was drawing a request from Princess Zelda: a picture of herself. Shadow knew every detail of her, as she sat next to him in every single dang class in middle school. He growled slightly, his fang exposed. It wasn't like he didn't like Zelda, she was nice, but she kind of annoyed him. But this job was paying three hundred dollars. He had practically died when he'd heard the amount. That would pay enough for him to move into his aunt's house with Dark and Blue. Sighing and erasing a line, he was startled when someone sat across from him. It was a boy who was wrapped from head to toe in bandages. His eyes, red like Shadow's, were the only thing he could see. "Hello." The mystery boy said. "H-Hi." Shadow said. "I'm Shiek. What's your name?" Shadow couldn't believe that someone wanted to talk to him and was actually being nice. "I'm S-Shadow. Why are you b-being nice t-to me? Everyone h-hates me." Shiek shrugged and Shadow resisted the urge to roll his eyes and snickered. "I don't judge people by their looks, I find out their personalities first." Just then, Blue Serurian-Azūru, the school bully, walked by and smacked Shadow in the side of his head. Blue and Shadow were good friends, despite what it may've seemed. Shadow snickered as Blue sat next to him. "Ooh, new kid!" Blue cooed, tugging lightly on Shadow's hair. It was actually pretty long, but he pinned it up most of the time. Shadow smacked Blue's hands away and stuck out his tongue. Blue stuck his out back, and Shadow went back to his drawing while the other two talked. By the time study hall was over, he had finished it and was going to paint it at home. He walked to his next class, which happened to be Science. He had taken these courses in middle school, as he was advanced, so he was excused to go work in the art room. Speeding to the library instead, he sat in the manga section. Sighing and laying his head back on the shelves, he closed his eyes. He jolted awake when someone stood in front of him. It was a boy with blonde hair who looked like Blue, but this boy had a lip ring. He wore a black leather jacket, a purple shirt, and purple tights. Shadow fought the urge to blush and stared up at the boy, who smiled. "Hi." The boy said. Shadow smiled back. "Hello." The boy offered his hand to Shadow. "I'm Vio. Vio Injigo." Shadow took the boy's and and hauled himself up. He smiled slightly. "Indigo?" Vio looked down and frowned. "I hate my last name." He muttered. Shadow smiled. "Anata no sei wa utsukushīdesu." He replied. Vio looked down and blushed. "Arigatōgozaimashita." He replied. Shadow smiled. Vio looked down at something in his hands, and Shadow realized he was twisting his shirt. Shadow looked back up to meet Vio's eyes. "Do you want to be friends?" He asked.  Vio smiled. "Sure! I don't have many friends." He said. Shadow smiled. "Me neither." He replied softly. The two parted ways after exchanging numbers as the bell rang.
