"Hello family , I called this dinner to let you guys know some of the arrangements for the wedding . Any questions?" Lauren said .

"Yeah when are the fittings and do we have to get a hotel room? How is that going?" I said fast.

Dave was rubbing my leg underneath the table and I don't know what has gotten into him. He did give in to a couple of drinks but him a little horny. I think I might just give in.

"Glad you asked , the fitting are scheduled for this Wednesday Afternoon and me and Kevin are going to rent out a mansion out there big enough for everyone to fit so you guys won't have to pay for any extra expenses"

"Sounds good to me" her dad Ginuwine said.

"Sorry I'm late , i was on set pretty late" my brother woody said walking in kissing my mom on the cheek and taking a seat.

"You good b , we just getting started" kevin said.

"So Bernice who is this handsome young man sitting next to you" Lauren's mom asked.

Right Now all eyes were on me once again and I was nervous.

"This is my boyfriend David" I said with a genuine smile.

I looked over and seen Marcelin looking at us with a mad look on his face. SOMEONE GIVE HIM A BAG OF FRITOS BECAUSE MY MANS SALTY.

"What are your intentions with my God Daughter" Lauren's Dad said as if he was my father.

I thought the questioning would have been avoided since my father wasn't here but I should have known because after all this is his bestfriend.

"To build a very strong relationship with her , she's a beautiful woman with a wonderful heart and I wouldn't want it any other way" David said back.

I looked at him and smiled genuinely and held his hand.

"Isn't he charming , now tell us the truth bro what you want from her? Money? Ass?  What is it?" My brother said being hard on him.

"Woody stop , it's not even like that" I said trying to stop before it led to anything it shouldn't .

"With all due respect my brother I have my own money and not once have I ever asked Bernice for anything and I don't plan on doing so and me and I have way more respect for her to just hit and leave . I don't get down like that and my mom ain't raise no punk , excuse my French . I want the best for Bernice and I'm sure you do as well"

"Oooooo I like you , you got a brother or sum . You real nice like a gentleman " Cardi said being her.

Everyone glared at Cardi .

"Ok I'm sorry shit"

"Aye y'all stop sweating my Nigga , he means well now can we start feasting a Nigga is starving" kevin said as everyone agreed.

For the rest of the dinner everyone just talked and had a good time. Me and Dave were in our own world and here and there we had conversations with people. Everyone but a selected few were welcoming and I liked that.

After a while , I needed to go to the restroom .

"Hey I have to go to the restroom and I'll be ready to go" I said to dave and then handing him my purse.

I got up and went into the restroom and use it then came out and refreshened myself. As I walked out I looked up and seen Marcelin waiting outside .. and I'm guessing for me.
