I awoke to soft sheets, and the morning light trickled in through the blinds.
Shedding myself of the remaining glimpses of a dream, my eyes were still shut as I soaked in the warmth of my covers before letting my eyes see the sun's rays.
Bumagon ako habang naghihikab.
Isinout ko lang ang tsinelas ko at lumabas na ng kwarto.
Bumaba ako sa hagdanan at pagbaba ko wala namang tao.
Hmmm.
Asan si kuya?
Siguro nasa labas.
"Kuya?"
When I go outside a rural morning scène white , fluffy clouds glide across the pale blue sky; the fading, subdued moon sits redundantly greeted me.
The sun has awakened and is promptly emerging through the hazy sky. The cloudy layer creates a pleasant blanket from the sun.
Birds simultaneously tweet out to each other in a chorus, singing a soothing, melodic tune.
That's why I love our place.
This place was a home for me , comforting me.
As I enjoying the scenario I saw kuya in the paddy filed.
He was planting some rice.
I smiled.
The rice fields are a rich green color, and the grass ripples along with the breeze.
While the sun is not very intense in the morning, it still shines giving the fields a lustrous quality.
"Kuya!" I called
Tumingin siya sakin.
And then he smiled at me genuinely.
How I love looking at my brother smiling.
Huminto siya sa ginagawa niya at ibinigay ang kanyang ginagawa sa iba naming kasamahan sa farm.
He was wearing a sack coats button down shirts, and soft, felt hats with a wide-brimmed. At may putik ang kanyang boots na sinout at ang kanyang kanang kamay
Kahit ganun ang sout niya he is the most handsome man in town for me.
Nong nakarating siya sa harapan ko he kissed my forehead while holding my head in his other hand.
"Good Morning baby girl" she greeted me while he kissed me on the forehead
I smile teasingly
"I'm not a baby girl anymore kuya I'm already 20 , you know " I said while rolling my eyes and I crossed my arms
He stare at me sharply
"Kahit na. Baby girl ka parin sakin. Kaya kung may manliligaw sayo sakin muna manligaw ha?" He said
Napakunot ang noo ko
"Sayo manliligaw kuya? Seriously?" I laugh a little "Don't tell me your a gay that why you don't have any girlfriend even though your now 28?"
He stared at me more sharply at tinusok niya ako sa tagiliran
"Ikawng bata ka kahit ano ano nalang yang pinagsasabi mo"
