Andi popped a lollipop into her mouth and glanced behind her at the trio. They were looking at the new robes they had with their ties that showed the colors of their houses. Percy had gotten into Gryffindor, Annabeth into Ravenclaw, and Grover into Hufflepuff. Before they had been sorted she was sure they'd all end up in Gryffindor and then learn to hate her.

Their ages had made it easier for her, and then they all got in different houses. If you counted all four of them, then all the houses might be friends. It wasn't likely, they were seventeen and this would be their last year there. It wouldn't even be a year, more like a month. She was only sixteen, so she had another year to go before she was even close to their level.

She sighed around her lollipop and she could almost feel their gazes snap up to the back of her robes. She stopped and turned to face them.

"Is there something you wanted to ask me?"

"Why was it weird for Percy to apologize to you?" Annabeth asked.

"Well, I'm a Slytherin. We kind of have the reputation of being mean and bullies. I never fit in the description, until the Gryffindors forced me into it. It's not often I hear an apology."

Percy nodded understandingly, "At our camp there's this group who have a similar reputation, of course they choose that reputation. I can count on them in a fight even though they are like that. I'm sure it's the same for you."

Andi shook her head, her dark brown hair flying. "No, actually during the war around nineteen years ago they locked us up in the dungeons. We deserved it, I'm not denying that fact. The only thing I'm saying is that most people know us as the house in which every dark wizard or witch comes from."

"But, wouldn't that just make it so that every witch or wizard never got the chance to be anything else?" Percy asked her.

Andi looked at him slightly surprised. "You know what, you're right. That's probably why, but it's not just other people that force us to go in that direction, knowingly or unknowingly. It's also our parents. For example, Albus Potter is in Slytherin too and he's a nice kid. His dad is Harry Potter, a Gryffindor. That makes it better for him."

"That doesn't help your point though." Annabeth said.

"That's in a good example. A bad one is mine. My mother was in Slytherin and she isn't a nice person at all. In fact if I was in anything other than Slytherin she would have taken me out of school, no threats. She would have just taken me out and done something else. See what I mean, it's not only the other houses. It's family too."

Percy nodded, "I see what you mean. Where do we go then? Where are the houses?"

"Well, Gryffindor tower is the closest. Then Ravenclaw tower. I'll take Grover to the Hufflepuffs. Once we're done I'll be leaving you and going down to the dungeons."

Annabeth looked from the wall to Andi. "Why the dungeons?"

"That's where the Slytherin common room is."

Andi tightened the green and silver tie around her neck. The other girls in the dorm were giving her weird looks and it didn't take much for her to guess what they were for. It was strange for a Slytherin to be put in charge for anything, especially when it was about other houses. Andi had been put in charge of making sure Percy and his friends were at the same level as the other 7th years.

The thing that confused her was that they asked her. She wasn't in 7th year, so it is redundant to ask her to help them. Unless, they were really behind. How behind could they be if they got it in Hogwarts though.

She grabbed her bag and headed out of her dorm and into the common room. In a corner she saw Scorpius Malfoy and Albus Potter sitting talking. Scorpius looked up and waved happily, but also slightly shyly. Andi gave him a smile, waved, and then left the Slytherin common room.

As she walked through the halls, she heard people whispering about the new students and spreading all sorts of rumors. One girl was talking about how cute the boy with the sea green eyes was and how if he was dating the blonde Ravenclaw girl, she would sneak a potion into his pumpkin juice.

Andi scowled and rounded the corner heading straight for the girl. She should've known who it was. Destiny Malcolm looked from her friend over to Andi, her red and gold tie untied around her neck.

Once she got there, Andi crossed her arms angrily. "What the bloody hell do you think you're talking about?"

"It's none of your business Ryan." Destiny burst out laughing.

Andi narrowed her eyes, "What's so funny?"

"Your last name is a boys first name." her laughter turned into snickering which was joined by her friends snickers.

"So is yours Malcolm. Besides, are you really thinking of putting something in his drink? I mean, you've thought of some really terrible ideas. I just never thought you would ever think of something so amazingly idiotic." Andi grit her teeth to try and keep her temper down.

"Idiotic?" Destiny hissed.

"That is what I said. Has your hearing gotten worse or your brain smaller?" Andi allowed a smirk to play on her lips as she watched Destiny's face get redder and redder with anger.

Destiny shot up and launched at Andi. Andi landed on her back and Destiny's fists repeatedly hit her gut and tried to go after her face. Andi suddenly caught her fists and rolled to be on top of her.

Andi winced at the pain in her gut as she headed towards the Gryffindor tower. The fat lady looked down at her and frowned.

"Slytherins aren't welcome in here."

Andi gave her a polite smile, "I'm only here to wait for Percy Jackson, the one who transfered here."

She nodded and Andi leaned against the wall waiting. After a couple minutes the portrait swung open and Percy stepped out.

"Hey."

Andi nodded to him and then they set off walking through the halls to get Annabeth and Grover.

She glanced back and saw him staring at the ground deep in thought. She felt a twinge of sympathy when she noticed confusion in his eyes.

"Is there anything I need to explain to you?" Andi gave him a slight smile.

Percy looked up at her and nodded. "How is all of this hidden? I mean, that there is all this magic. Do you use spells to hide it or is there something in it that makes it so that people without magic can't see it?"

Andi stopped and gave him a weird look. "How do you keep getting more and more confusing? We are just careful and try not to use magic around muggles, non-magic folk. The only thing muggles can't naturally see are dementors.." Andi shuddered. "They're awful things that suck your soul out when they 'kiss' you. You can usually tell they're there when it feels like all the happiness is gone in the world."

Percy just looked more confused and it made Andi laugh. Her laugh was an almost musical laugh and it always made people around her smile or laugh, but when she wasn't happy and she laughed it made most people shudder. Percy couldn't help but grin at her.

"I'll explain more later, come on. Let's go get your friends." Andi smiled at him before they continued walking.
