"A warrior does not give up what he loves, he finds the love in what he does"
― Dan Millman

Harry's POV

I continued to cry into the arms of a stranger. I didn't care who it was but I was grateful, whoever it is let me cry in their arms.

"You done now?" a male voice asked making me jump out of his grip.

"Yeah, I-I'm done, thanks." I reply dusting the dirt off my pants.

"Haribo is that you?"

I look up at the sound of my old nickname. Even through my blurry vision I could see who it was. His tight midnight black leather jacket still covered his muscled shoulders. His olive skin and hazel eyes fit him more now than it did back in the day. I smile as I look up to my old friend.

"Joe, man how I missed you." I mumbled into his jacket as we hugged each other. We held each other tightly for a bit longer and then pulled away.

"You look exactly the same even your style." he points out causing me to look down at my white t-shirt and shorts.

"Same to you, except maybe your jeans got tighter." I say causing us both to laugh.

"I haven't seen you since you were promoted to general." he informed me before playfully knudging me.

A cold breeze swept through the air causing me to shiver slightly. I mentally slapped myself for not bringing a coat.

"Take this haribo, I got a flannel in my car." he informs while taking off his jacket. I take it and mutter a small thank you.

"Can you just call me Harry please. Just the memories a-"

"Let's go to my car, it's getting dark." he interjects, my gaze following his to the light grey sky. I nodded and followed him in the direction of his car.

"So, why were you crying when I found you? Was it because of a girl" he guessed while I dragged my feet through the dirt.

"No." I solemnly replied.

He didn't ask me anything more. I was thankful, I'm not in the right state of mind. I hear a horn honk and I look up to see a radiant, neon colored, old-time car. It was bound to be the center of attention due to the contrast of bright colors compared to dark colors in the background.

"What is it?" He questions, opening the car door before settling inside.

"Remember Mr.Smith?" I ask him, getting inside the car. His brows furrow slighlty before he clicks a button starting the car. I shut my eyes having small flashbacks of what happened only moments ago.

"Harry, promise me please. They are coming."

"Your grandad, Eddy. He was killed by the council.

"Run! Harry go now.

"Yeah, what about him?" He asks putting the car into gear causing me to awaken from the flashbacks.

"Nevermind." I croak, running my hands through my hair, sinking down in the leather seat. He nodded, knowing I'm not in the mood to go into full detail.

The drive was dead silent, no music, no talking, just a comfortable atmosphere. But my mind fails to stop running thoughts through my head. I turn my gaze outside the window watching houses and cars flash by. Noticing there was another vehicle close behind us, but I just ignored it.

"Take a turn right here" I instruct, Joe nods turning onto the new route, the quiet between us was interrupted by his tapping on the wheel.

"So I wa-"

A loud bang errupts, causing us to jump and the car to swerve a bit. Glass crystals were now littering the back seat as Joe presses harder on the gas. More gun shots were heard, only missing the car by centimeters.

"Quick open the glove compartment." He barks at me, eyes trained on the vacant street ahead of us. I hastily open the compartment to find a small hand gun. I miss the feeling of the cool object between my fingers. I roll down the window and try to get a good aim on the people behind us. Only making out there silhouettes through their tinted windows. I pull the trigger, the bullet missing by a long shot.

"Come on man! There's not enough bullets to be wasting!" Joe's grips onto the steering wheel tighter, taking a sharp turn. I stick my head out the window and aim at the one more time, the bullet went straight through their tire with a screech. I lifted up the gun again Joe's words becoming a blur as I strain my eyes focusing on the driver.

"For Smith." I bellow before pulling the trigger. The glass of the other vehicle shatters and the sound of the horn blares loudly. I can make out a slumped body with it's head on the steering wheel. I hear a shout, seconds later the car swiveled rolling down the hill.

"HARRY JUMP!" Joe screams as his words finally gain sound in my ear. I look over to him frantically and do what he tells me to do. I jump.
