It was bright and blinding. The crunching of metal and whirring of machinery could be heard somewhat close and, sometimes far in the distance. There was a buzz of people chattering melting into footsteps, tapping against a concrete floor. A conveyer belt and Its metallic grinding was the most prominent of all of these noises, as the making of our main character is involved. Onto the conveyer, plump and red tomatoes were being plopped down and moved towards a set of crushers. This should not be a suprise considering that this is the early life of all ketchup, right? Well, there was a single tomato that had made it into this batch of ketchup. This tomato had inside of it, the power of humanity. The ability to feel and act like a normal human being.
How exactly this happened is unclear. The most plausible explination is the farm it came from, and how one of the workers had been known for experimentation on his plants. Although the specifics are unknown, the story is not.
As the tomatoes go down the line to get pulverized, the single special tomato also gets crushed into the mix. Workers add ingridients, blissfully unaware of the life they are creating. Soon enough, the mix is finished and the product is created. A bottle of ketchup is sitting and glistening as it moves down the final conveyer to be boxed and sold.
The conveyer is moving at a reasonably low speed, which leaves the ketchup bottle we have focus on to open his eyes, and roll off the conveyer. Its not very hard for him to escape because no ones paying attention to him. Shortly after he rolls off, he sprouts a pair of magnificently sculpted and hairy legs. He stumbles around a bit but eventually, he puts one large unporportional foot in front of the other and begins walking. The steps turn into leaps as one hairy leg is flying in front of the other in perfect rythm until the run turns into a sprint. He makes it out of the factor and into the open, but he does not stop, he keeps going for miles until he finds a small cottage in the distance.
The door is cracked open so he decides to go in. Theres someone home. Hello?
