Chapter 7 Where Have You Been?

Two months later...

Brian P.O.V

I know Kenzie probably think that is I am ignoring her. For the past two weeks I haven't been around her as much but I have good reason why I haven't. I wanted McKenzie to official be my girlfriend, we were taking it slow but now it feels right ,I wanted her to be mine. Even Jaylen came through to help me get ready for this day. We talked it out and we are cool now. Right now he is keeping her company at practice while I am at her house about to talk to her family.

"You are most welcome. Now what's this all about?"

"Nahh let's talk about the fact you have been ignoring my daughter? She has been moping around here like a lost puppy and shit."

Her father said.

"Amir! Don't be like that."

Kenzie mom said as she hit her husband,she apologized on his behalf and I told her it wasn't needed. It does look pretty bad.

That's why I am here to explain. I wanted to ask is it fine if I ask your daughter to be my girlfriend? I have been planing and doing things for her so when I take her out tomorrow it would be perfect.

"Soo you're not cheating on her?"

Of course not! I am not dumb, I just want tomorrow to be perfect and I know how much you guys mean to her. Which is why I am asking for your blessing to take her out and to see if it's alright if we can date.

"Ohh Amir isn't that the sweetest thing you ever heard?"

"You act like I didn't do these things for you."

"You did babe but now someone is asking us for our blessing.. why can't you just give me another baby?!"

"Excuse my wife her baby fever is through the roof. Lets just get this out the way, I don't think no man is good for her,however Brian you are good to my daughter and I have no problem with you so yeah we give you our blessing to date her. But understand this if you hurt my butter bean I will hurt you."

Yes sir you have my word. By the way can you guys keep this a secret? Jaylen is going to take drop her off to the restaurant but I will show up with flowers.

Shaking her head. I was confused..

"Listen when you first gave her roses I thought she  was going to throw it in the trash or in your face like someone who shall remain nameless.."

"Amir get over it that was years ago and you deserve it."

I chuckled at these two. I admire their love, I can sense the love between them and I can only hope and have faith that McKenzie and I can have that.

So what should I get her then?

"That girl loves Trey Songz unless you can get her something related to that then you're out of luck."

"Don't listen to my husband crazy ass although he is right about her loving some Trey Songz lord knows I do and he would have got me pregnant by now!"

"You really about to start this shit again?! I am not giving you a baby. We have a guest,use your lady mouth."
