I woke up looking right into some curious eyes that were gazing at me. I blinked making sure there were those same eyes that I been knowing for years. The teenager boy just stood there backing away giving me some space.
"You blacked out a bit there Edric, like totally bro." He said smacking his gum. I sighted looking at him with a cold stare.
"I know I did, I am not that stupid not to realize that for myself. " I mumbled looking around. I was not at the hospital but at my apartments. "How did you got me out?"
"Ahh, dont worry about that bro, I got my slick ways to do that. I know you will get mad at me buddy, So I rather keep that to myself. You dont want people knowing you are a vampire do you now?"
"Wow, really Will? And how did you know I was in a "Hospital" injured? Let me guess you were passing by watching the scene. followed the ambulance and kiddnapped me? Or is that a no no?"
"Naw, that just sounds foolish." Will said laughing then looked at me serious. "You better be Careful Edric, nothing will come good out of this. And you know that! You almost got yourself killed, in front of public! They already have your name across the paper and media! Well That I dunno about cause they don't know you at all...eh i think? But Never mind. You know what's gonna happen to you if you can handle life old man!"
Gave him a cold glance then turn the T.V on changing the channels. I read the time it was 11: 17 P.M.
"yeah Yeah sure...I get it." I said.
"Well I am leaving just wanted to tell you that. See ya soon Dude." Will said giving me the peace sign jumping out the window. I watched him disappear of in the darkness of the city.
I looked at myself in the mirror, took my shirt off. There was a scar in the my shoulder. I poked it once, seemed very healed. Slamming my hands on the table counter I bit my lip. "What was wrong with her? My first once again encounter with a vampire slayer. If she was one in the other hand. She was too stubborn yet stupid. She had broken some of the rules? Why did she not know?" I said getting a glass filling it up with deer blood.
It seem like I had gotten weaker after the incident. I licked my lips looking out the windows. Someone was inside my apartment room. I felt the sensation of a vampire.
"Well, seems you still in once piece and alive." A deep voice behind me said. "I can smell that there was another vampire in here...who?"
"Will Carson." I responded leaning on the window looking at the pale guy. He had a muscular body. Bright blue eyes and dark blonde hair. "Who else would you expect to come over here.?"
"That idiot!" He exclaimed looked mad. " What did he told you?"
"Look, Ray, It was just about my situation, Nothing about you. Why are you guys still hating each other?"
"Never mind that, I dont have time to argue that with you. No more hurt feeling for you and pain for a day. Are you feeling better?" He asked. His british accent was deep. I raised my eyebrows looking at him while nodding.
"Ya, just tired. Tired of living as a vampire. Is Like I am cursed! Stuck in one generation." I said throwing my glass in the floor. I could sense something more. Someone else in the place. "Did someone came with you, Ray? where you alone?"
"Yep, I always come alone. Something wrong.?" He asked.
"I dunno, I can't think of it right now...So what were you gonna say?"
"Nothing."
I just stared, "You leaving now or what?"
"Do you want me to leave so soon? No Best friend visit or what?"
"Sorry," I said.
"Never thought vampires had "best friends" these days. There's no one to trust you know. " A female voice came in. "Even if they been knowing you."
"Who are you?" Ray said looking around.
"Don't mind me, I am just no one to worry about. I am just nothing to you at the...moment. "
I was listening to the voice looking at the clock. 11: 49 p.m.
"I could have killed both of you...but I rather not." She said. "It woudn't be fun at all. I dont think it would. .. Well I have duty calls...See you to Death? maybe or maybe not."
There was a widow being shut.
"What the hell was that Edric?" Ray quiestioned. "A dam vampire slayer in your room. Is this a sort of trick?"
"I dunno what you are talking about, I never knew she was in here. I swear to my bloody fangs that I didn't knew." I said walking toward him.
Ray grabbed me shoving me to the wall so hard. His eyes were red, "I hope not. I don't like that. You , I beleive the most that Will. Don't let me down, You hear? Dont you dare let me down. Finding you were trying to kill me."
He finally let go off his strong graps and sighted. " I am sorry Edric, I didn't mean to be that way. I was scared. Scared that I know she was real...Gotta go."
"Oh." I looked at him . "Don't worry. Its not your fault."
"Whatever, just rest and do what you do, okay? Laters!"
He vanished in thin air leaving me alone in my living room. The broken glass was on the floor from the glass i threw while speaking to him. I bent down to grab a piece of glass, but it seem to cut my finger. and it bleed a bit. I looked at it. The Blood was dark red in the light. I licked my finger standing upright looking outside.
"Is everyone trying to kill me now? Why is that? That's really strange...First that lady then that Unknown female. How she even figure where I lived at?
Those thoughts filled my head making me feel quiet dizzy. I layed across my couch looking at the ceiling.
Is this the year that I die? Edric Kevin Degorry...If that is ever possible for a vampire like me. A small smiled formed in the curved of my lips. If that is ever possible.
I am not a weakling. I manage to survive even agaisnt my own kind that tried to kill me 10 years ago. Am I turning insane at the moment? Or is it just emotions clutting right in my weary head?
Dont care and I dont want to anyways. I got other stuff to be taking care off that y silly stupidity.
