I was greeted with Adam's voice as I descended the stairs.

"Where are they?"

He was shaking.

"Behind you."

I made my way around him, his shirt damp still from the sweat that clung to him, it added to the cool temperature of the room.

"Show them to me."

Yeah, let's do it.

I could feel Ivan's voice grip the back of my neck.

"Show...me..."

D'mitri, let the boy see!

"Fine." I nearly growled before spinning his chair towards the other side of the wall, one that led to a meat freezer. There hung the ten other bodies of people I took the lives of, excluding the body of William and Stephanie, in a corner deceased infant females that failed to be what I wanted.

"You wanna know who they all remind me of?" I walked behind him, placed my hands on his shoulders, and bent down to his ear, "a boy with unmatchable innocence and sunken brown eyes... a small and cute nose and shaggy-what'd you call it, ash blonde hair?"

He looked up at me, "This is my fault?" he asked incredulously. I lowered my face to nuzzle his neck.

"You could blame it on yourself, yes, but I was the one who did it. You're just so provocative."

He slammed his head back, hitting my nose. Almost immediately I felt my own blood drip off my chin. I smacked the back of Adam's head and closed the meat freezer.

"I hope that was worth it, bitch." I spat and climbed the stairs, screams of apology being thrown here and there. I slammed the door behind me. The bathroom door squealed as I rushed it open. I nearly slammed into the sink counter to look at myself in the mirror.

"He got you good, D'mitri."

And there he was. Tall, taller than me, perhaps eight feet tall, platinum- almost white hair, it made his stubble look silver, paired with equally light blue, blood-shot eyes and pale skin. I wondered if my eyes would be so icy.

"Do you think it's broken?"

"We don't want another concussion, D'mitri."

I slammed my fist against the counter and punched the mirror, "Son of a bitch!"

"Don't go and fuck things up worse! You need your hands, damn it!"

"I don't feel like explaining that I got into a fight without first-hand evidence- literally."

He rolled his eyes and dissolved to nothing as I left the bathroom to lock the basement and leave.

I came back from the hospital, without a concussion, thankfully, and walked to the very back room pushing a bookshelf away from the door, finally unlocking it and opened the door.

"How are you, ladies?" the three women all looked at me tiredly, "it's time for your checkups."

I almost immediately saw the blood.

I quickly strode to Caroline, "What the fuck did you do, you stupid cunt?!"

A wire hanger laid beside her, "killed your baby, you sick fuck."

I hit her across the face and lifted her hospital gown. Blood was seeping from her cunt, spreading onto the bed. I stared at her, a scowl across my face, before quickly retrieving my stethoscope and pressed it against her stomach.

"I should kill you..." I started, a smile growing against my face, "but then I'd be killing my baby."

Her face dropped, and I strapped her arms down, before checking on the other two. The dogs barking and the doorbell ringing alerted me something was happening.

"I'll bring your food soon."

I quickly went to move the bookshelf back and drag a rug over the basement before answering the door.

"Hi, D'mitri Upshur, I presume? I'm agent Dean Swanson, this is my partner, agent Aaron Driskill, we have some questions we'd like to ask you."

My heart stopped, but I didn't let it show.

"Ah, yes, come in." I smiled, opening the door more. The dogs started growling at the men before I told them to go in the other room.

"Big dogs." Agent Driskill joked nervously.

"Are you scared of them?" I made it sound like a joke, Aaron shrugged, "A little. I've never been fond of big dogs."

"That's a shame." I looked them both in the eyes, "What can I do for you, gentlemen?"

Agent Swanson started, "Mr. Upshur, do you know a young man by the name of Adam Miller?"

I acted surprised, trying to stay calm, "I do, why?"

"He's gone missing, and we have reason to believe you may know his whereabouts. He was last seen with you this past weekend, going to your car from the university."

"Oh, I was giving the poor boy a ride. He had no way of getting home and he's in my buddy's class. I decided to be nice."

The two agents looked at each other before Driskill asked, "do you have any clue where he'd go?"

"No sirs, I was just a ride." I smiled.

They nodded and said their goodbyes, giving me an info card while I walked them out of the house.

I looked at the card, smirked, and went to the basement.

"Hey, Adam, we had some visitors."

Adam looked up tiredly through his lashes, parts of his face swollen and bruised.

I showed him the info card and his face dropped.

"Not even the feds suspected."
