Chapter Two!
I pull up to Isacc's driveway and stop the car. When get out, there is what looks like ten year old girl staring at me from across the yard. She's wearing a pair of jean shorts and a bright green tank top that is the same color of the beach chair she is sitting in. I bet she hasn't seen someone like me before, i mean who can't breath.
i ring the bell for his house and his mom answers and directs me downstairs. "Who's that girl out there?" i ask while still going down the last step.
"Hello to you to Hazel. And she's ,Julia, our new neighbor. She's been bugging me non-stop. I told her I had to eat dinner and would be back later. I really just needed to get away. Now onto to the price of dawn?"
"Onto the price of dawn!"
Later when we were done playing at around nine o' clock i left and went outside to my car. Julia was still sitting there waiting.
I couldn't bear having her sit out there for no one to come so I shouted across the yard "Are you waiting for Isacc?"
"Ya, do you know if he's coming?"
"Um, well" I'm not sure what to tell her. "I think his family is kinda busy, but maybe he'll come tomorrow."
"Well would you mind talking for a bit?"
I don't want to let her down, but I can't just leave her here; bored and alone.
"Sure." I trample the grass as go through the yard. "So... Uh, how's it going?" I ask her, not sure what to say.
"I'm going great!How long have that?" She points to my oxygen tank.
"About since I was thirteen."
"Oh cool. Is it hard not bein-" Just then someone shouts for Julia to get her butt back inside because she's been out there way too long. She says goodbye and I say goodbye and that was that.
