Sitting in Pops waiting for Caspian to join me was our Saturday tradition that goes back to when we were 8. "Marlee Drake knew I would find you here" I smile at the red head "what can I do for Cheryl" "nothing" I frown wondering why she was now sitting in front of me. "So how are you" "what do you really want" "can't fool a Drake...I just wanted someone to talk to" I nod "tell me about yourself." We spent hours going back and forth getting to know each other, becoming friends. Getting up when the clock strikes two, Cheryl not far behind. "I know it's a lot to ask but...could I maybe stay with you things are a little complicated" I smile "if we hadn't becoming friends over this week I probably would have said no but you can just be warned me family is very protective" she just laughs "can't be as bad as mine" I nod not wanting to agree but I can't help it. "I just have to make one stop on the way home" she nods and follows me.
Knocking on the door waiting for someone to answer Cheryl waiting by the road. "Marlee come in dear" glancing at Cheryl who nods I send her a text telling her there is a park and a cafe down the road and this shouldn't take long. Walking upstairs and into my friends bedroom. "What going on" I walk in sitting at his desk "I'm grounded" I frown "you could have messaged me" he shake his head "don't have my phone or computer" I laugh his probably completely bored. "They only let you in cause they love you" I laugh it was true they did love me. "What did you even do" he shrugs like it's no big deal "some little things and they found out that I have been skipping so until my attendance is perfect and I get my act together I don't have my phone or computer" I smile "clearly they don't" he shakes his head knowing I was asking if they knew i was always with him. "I have to go but I might visit tomorrow not sure if not see you at school I will also have my brother to have you do things so you don't go insane" he smile as I hug him "thanks love you" I nod "love you to" walking out of the house saying bye to his family before meeting Cheryl.
Arriving at the home was like every other day. Loud, the noise bounced off the way bringing life. I could see Cheryl's smile making me smile. Walking in hanging my bag up. "I'm home" "woo more party" Aurora yelled causing me to laugh. Walking into kitchen seeing my parents cooking, Auberon and Castillo at the breakfast bar stealing food. Aurora was at the table with our puppy Chloe on her lap. It was amazing fun, happy, lively that was until Auberon noticed something "hey wait wait what are you doing here" he got Orion's attention "a Blossom in the Drake home no no no we don't hang around with demon children you need to leave" when she didn't move "listen here and listen good princess your family are nothing but scum who love money more than anything else I mean you great grandfather did kill his brother over money right well your all the same sadistic soul eating people" "Orion that is enough she is a guest no matter who she's related to...I'm Lillian Drake there mother...yep had six of these children" she smiles and checks what's she's cooking "that's my husband Mathew...Orion and Auberon were the ones who were antagonising you" she looks that them scolding the two boys with just one look. All the children knew not to push when they got that look, there dad was one with there scarier look. When they got the look from him they all stop, he was a gang leader after all. He was the one who would punish us for our crimes while mother lectured us. "Castillo and Luke the eldest two" when she points over to them they wave "and of course you know Aurora"Cheryl smiles and nods "Cheryl Blossom but you all already knew that" "the hair gave it away" Auberon smirked something's snapped in my father "my wife is right you are a guest make yourself at home" "if it's to much trouble" "relax darling you came on family night probably a bit more overwhelming because we are all in the one house but there is always plenty of leftovers so grab a plate I say" "you haven't done anything to us it was your parents who were rude to Marlee when you were nothing but nice both you and your brother so make yourself at home stay the night enjoy" my dad smiled kindly towards the girl I knew just by the look he had won her over. We heard the door open but didn't move as it was probably a Serpent, we never locked our door and if we did practically everyone knew where the key was anyway. "Nobody panic it's just Ollie" I laugh "Oliver Beaumont nice to meet you Cheryl Blossom" "way to be creepy Ollie" I go over to Cheryl "relax his family went to school with Luke and Casp practically a brother over here enough anyway" I look to my mother "I'm going to take Cheryl to my room to put her stuff down be back in a sec" she smiles and nods "your family is amazing" "my brother will warm up to you just forget it" she nods but I can tell she's on edge "why didn't you fight back Cheryl" I stare at her "your family was there" "when your parents attacked me I fought back" she sighs "I don't know JJ always fights my battles" I look at her confused "at school" "an act not the strong girl" I smile "well in front of them you can be I won't hate you if you lay into them in fact I think it will earn you some respect" I hug her "I'm going to make a fighter out of you yet" she laughs "I'm serious by the end of the week you will be standing up for yourself like no tomorrow no more relying on boys" she just laughs.
