I washed my face and smiled down at the sink of water, remembering the time Sibil found out what I was.

*flashback*

I saw Sibil stiffen at my side as the teacher mentioned the word 'dog'. I looked at her and slid my hands under the table, linking my fingers together nervously. As a human, I wasn't sure that wolves existed but being changed after meeting a group of vampires made me rethink everything I was told as a child.

And now, I was pretty sure Sibil was a wolf... she'd stiffen if someone mentioned anything remotely close to a wolf or a dog and she'd peek at me from the corner of her eye so I decided now was the time to find out. Seeing as we both liked the vampire/werewolf tales I constructed a question to act as an opening line, an ice-breaker if you will.

"If you could be one... which would you be, vampire or werewolf?"

She grinned and blushed a deep red, the colour made my throat burn but something put me off. Probably the dog-like odour emitting off her.

"Werewolf" she blurted, not even giving it a second thought. I smirked and leaned back against the wall, glancing at her and folding my arms across my chest, trying to find a way to let her know what I knew without causing too much commotion.

"What are you Sibil...?" Smooth.

She didn't answer, she just stared at me like she was contemplating something.

I know what you're thinking. Why didn't I just read her mind to find out her identity? Indeed it would have been easier but strangely enough I did consider Sibil as a friend and it felt as though I'd be invading her privacy. Also the fact that there was some form of satisfaction that came with getting her to verbally admit my surmise.

Suddenly, she turned back to her book and carried on writing. I looked at her for a second and then looked towards the front of the class again, wondering if she had heard me properly or just didn't understand and acted as though she didn't hear at all.

"I know what you are leech. Don't try to hide it. I've heard all the stories and I could spot your kind from a mile away." she sneered, her voice shook even though she was trying to keep it strong. I stiffened in my place at her words and tightened my fists. I was staring at the board at the front, shooting daggers and venom from my eyes. I wasn't expecting that turn of events, though I should have.

When she looked up at me her face turned pale and I turned my glare on her. "And I know what you are Sibil. I'm not the bad guy, our history is history, it's in the past and not all of us think that way anymore. Don't think that you know how everyone of us felt about that war becuase you don't. You only know half of it. If we were the same as back then you'd be dead by now mongrel, trust me. You're one of the only descendents from one of the last survivors. Our kinds were different back then and you have the chance to be friends with me. Heck, I thought we were friends! Keep my secret and I'll keep yours. Deal dog?" I offered her my hand, calming down from my rage as I spoke. Sibil laughed nervously and shook my hand once before whispering.

"I still dont like you leech. But I guess I'll have to put up with it." We both grinned and I narrowed my eyes and let them cover themselves in the demonic dark red colour for a second, making my smile more intimidating and causing her eyes to flash with fear.

"right back at you mongrel."

*flashback over*

I laughed at the memory and felt an arm snake around my waist just as Chris' voice whispered in my ear.
