Chapter 5

When Jude hung up,we heard a sound coming from the kitchen,me and Joey go to the kitchen and look for the sound that is coming here,Then the sound i've heard since we entered the kitchen grows louder as we approach.The awful static is like nothing we've ever heard,and we want to go back to not hearing it as soon as possible.I turn the radio off and finally the sound is gone.

Joey open the battery compartment and saw two batteries,"Jackpot D-Cells you can never have too many batteries and never in too many different sizes either"said Joey and take the batteries then she put it in her backpack.Then Joey put the batteries in the flashlight and she smiled."Nice one Joey"I said and smiled,"Thank you~"she said and put her flashlight in the bag.Then Joey saw the dirty plates and utensils that are not clean yet,She look at me with an evil smile "Hey (Y/N) it's your turn to clean the dishes right?","No way...NO WAY I did them last time Joey it's Jude's turn now..you know what after he completely ditched me from the treehouse earlier maybe it can be Jude's turn for QUITE SOME TIME",Joey giggled.

"Hey maybe you should call Jude for some tips for the power to turn back on"I said and Joey agreed then she talk to Jude on the walkie talkie,"Any hot tips for getting the power back on?"ask Joey,"POWER OUTAGE SEEMS TO GRANT INVADERS SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGE...over"said Jude,"That's not....really a tip"I said,"yeah that's more like,just an explanation for why we are trying to do it"said Joey,"NOT SURE WHAT TO TELL YOU BOTH,CIRCUIT BREAKER PROBABLY IN BASEMENT...over","See that was very helpful..thanks Jude"I said,"DOING MY BEST....LOVE YOU...over and out"When Jude said that I instantly blush but luckily Joey didn't saw that.

Then Joey put her walkie talkie in the bag,"The basement is over here"said Joey and I followed her to the other side of the kitchen,Joey opened the door and said "After you"I laugh and go inside,Joey grab her flashlight and turn it on,while we were looking for the circuit breaker I found pa's blue lady picture,pa loves his blue ladies portraits so much,he keeps redundant backups scattered around.Because it's ok if I ignore something supposedly precious to me,as long as I'm paying attention to something kind of similar,in another location,right?

Then I saw a pile of boxes,maybe the circuit breaker is behind those boxes "Hey Joey!"I yelled and she walk to me "Yeah?"She ask "Tap dance right next to the pile of boxes, maybe the circuit is behind it","You're maybe right!"she said and tap dance next to the boxes happily--

TAP TAP TAP-TAP

Then the boxes fell,me and Joey move the boxes to the side and saw the circuit breaker "(Y/N) you're such a genius!!"Joey said and hugs me very very tight "J-Joey I can't b-breathe---"then Joey quickly let go of me and apologize sheepishly "It's fine.."I said and then I flip the breaker,then the lights turned on! "(Y/N)...."Joey said with fear "Joey?"I turn around and saw--THE MONSTER AGAIN WITH THE-THE MANY LEGS AAAAAAAAH!

"AAAH!"I yelled,"Don't worry (Y/N) I'll protect you!"said Joey and glared at the monster,she walk closely to it and it started a fight,then suddenly there's a song in the background and a narrator saying "STRIFE!!",then Joey tap dance "SHUFFLE 'N' SCOOT!"said the narrator,"HOT STEPPIN'","LET'S DO LUNGE","CHECK PLEASE",then Joey tap dance again "WHAT'S THE TAPS",then the monter push her,"You okay Joey?!"I said full of worry "Yeah"she said then the narrator said "ALL TAPPED OUT","THE ROOM WHERE IT SLAPPENS","DISOBEDIENT SERPENT",then Joey tap dance again "GONNA HAND IT TO YOU"but the monster push her again,"LAGER LUCK NEXT TIME",then Joey grab my hand and do a ballet twirl "GRACEFUL ABSCOND"then the last thing the narrator said was "PRIMA ABSCOND,JO!".

Then we both roll to the stairs away from the basement.The Joey quickly close the door shut then we both catch our breathes

"I learned one thing.."I said
"What is it?"she ask
"Never roll in the stairs..."
