CHAPTER 1 - Murderer On The Loose!
Hello! I am Ian Mustard. I am a detective and work for the London police. I personally hail from Woking, England but I moved to London when I was eighteen years old to work as I always had a lot of interest in being a detective and being a person who can crack massive, potentially next-to-impossible cases and punish those who need to be. That day was the 27th of October, and I woke up from my bed, as usual, and did my morning routine which comprised of brushing my teeth, bathing and eating breakfast.
I then read the newspaper and saw a front-page article about a murder case of victim Mr Samuel Atkinson who lived in the heart of London. He was a well-known businessman and I had personally heard of him a few times. He also had a lot of money and wealth in other forms which created more reasons, or as we (the detectives) call it - Motives to kill Mr Atkinson. I was quite depressed because of this situation and desperately wanted to do something about it, which was to do what I did best, finding the most important questions needed to solve this case - Who killed him? Why? When? With what? etc.
I then walked up to my study desk because I wanted to write to the London police to see if I could also help out with the case. This, if granted would be a miracle, as I am only twenty-five and am still quite an amateur in the eyes of the London police detective team. I, however, had some serious belief in myself and thought that I always had the potential to solve a big case - like this one.
I opened my laptop and headed to my e-mail inbox. Just as I was about to start composing an e-mail to Mr Gordon Smith, the head of the detective team working for the London police, I received an e-mail from the one and only - Mr Smith himself. He said that I had been chosen for this case along with another main detective - Mr Gibbons Mr Smith was a top-class and very experienced detective and it was more than an honour to work alongside him on a case as big as this one.
CHAPTER 2 - THE CRIME SCENE
The same afternoon, we headed to the crime site where we saw Mr Atkinson lying there, motionless. Next, to that, we saw a distraught looking Ms Stephanie Atkinson, who was Samuel's wife. Next to that was also Mr Robert Atkinson and Mrs Sofia Atkinson who were Samuel's parents, it felt as if all three of them were swimming in tears. Just looking at this made me feel extremely distraught, and after looking at Mr Gibbons, I could tell that he was feeling very similar, but was too embarrassed to express his emotions.
Work then began, with the forensic team firstly drawing the outline of his body so that he could be taken to the forensic lab for a full detailed examining. I and Mr Gibbons watched closely and us, along with the representatives from London Police were already looking for clues all along the house, and lucky for us, we found one! It was a weapon. A rope. The murderer probably left it behind in a hurry.
