Chapter 7

Around 30 minutes later, Jimin shouted. J-Hope was shocked that he directly shook Jimin to wake him up. After a while, Jimin opened his eyes. He even gasped as if he just ran away from a serial killer. His face was very tense. J-hope got worried, so he asked Jimin. "Jimin, what happened? Are you okay? I tried waking you up."

"J-Hope, I'm scared."

"What are you scared of?"

Jimin started sobbing very hard. His cries hurt J-Hope. He simply tried to be strong for Jimin. He waited until Jimin respond to his question. Then, he spoke.

"I dreamt my father kidnapped me."

"Did anything happen after that?"

Jimin sobbed even harder. "I got beaten very badly and kept away from my mother and Uncle Jisung. I was in dark for few months even. I'm scared, J-Hope." Jimin still shaken over the dream.

J-Hope took Jimin to his chest. He hugged Jimin tightly and kissed his forehead. Then, he responded "Don't worry. I'll never let anyone hurt you anymore, okay?"

Jimin raised his hand, so that he can hug J-Hope tightly too. He was still crying because he was still scared over that situation last time. He pushed J-Hope a bit to look at J-Hope's eyes. "You promised that no one will hurt me anymore?"

"Yes, Jimin. I will never let anyone hurt you anymore okay. Not in my willpower."

"Thank you, J-Hope."

"Now, can you stop crying, Jimin?"

"I can't stop it."

"Shall we continue sleeping? I will hug you okay?"

Jimin nodded. J-hope pulled Jimin down on his chest so that Jimin's head will be on his chest. Jimin put one hand on J-Hope's abs, simply like hugging a bolster at home. J-Hope put one hand behind Jimin's to his side like a girlfriend sleeping next to his boyfriend. Jimin was still sobbing and J-Hope's heart felt pain hearing that. He patted Jimin on his side to keep the boy warm. Then, he played with his hair. That does the tricks because Jimin directly felt asleep. After ensuring that Jimin felt asleep, he pull the blanket to cover both of them. In his head, he kept replaying the promise. He clenched his fist to ths thought, 'No one will dare to hurt Jimin again. I promise to keep him safe from anyone. I promise that no one will hurt him forever,' until he finally dozed off again.

2 hours later, J-Hope opened his eyes. His stomach felt very hungry suddenly. But he doesn't want to wake Jimin's up. So he decided to play some movies from his phone. After several minutes, Jimin suddenly moved to the right. He hugged one of the bolsters on the right side. J-Hope decided to get out from his bed to the kitchen. He made sure to do things slowly, not to awake the sleeping beauty on his bed. He pulled the blanket to cover Jimin, kissed his forehead before walking away out of the room. Thankfully, he didn't closed the door properly since no one was in the house. He walked down towards the kitchen first. He took out some chicken and defrost them with the microwave. Then he cooked some rice on the rice cooker. Jimin always said he wanted to eat kimchi fried rice and spicy friend chicken, so J-hope would like to cook them for him. His parent sometimes love Korean food, despite they are the best chef for all kind of foods.

While waiting for the rice, he decided to start with the chicken first. He took it off from the microwave when it made the sound. J-Hope began to wash the chicken parts and drained them properly. He put the chicken aside. He started making the ingredients for the stew. First, he added 1-1/2 cups of water into a big pot that was ready on the stove. He took the chicken from the plate and dropped them into the stove. He added 2 tablespoons Korean red chili pepper flakers, 1 tablespoon sugar, 4 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon honey syrup, 2 tablespoon Korean red chili pepper paste and some pinch of pepper into the pot. That was what his mother taught him to cook this. He avoided wine though since he couldn't drink any alcohol drink yet. He turned the fire on and stirred the sauce with the chicken well. He brought it to boil over high heat for a while, then reduced the heat to medium and covered it for 15 minutes. He stirred the chicken with the sauce occasionally within those timeframe. He added some potatoes, 2 carrots, ½ large onion, some garlic cloves and some ginger pieces and stirred the vegetables all together. He covered the pot and waited for another 15 minutes. He decided to turn on the television in the kitchen since his mother loves to watch TV shoes while cooking the food. After 15 minutes, he uncovered the pot and stirred it until the chicken became tender and the sauce has become slightly thickened about 10 minutes. Then he added scallions, sesame oil and sesame seeds right before turning off the heat.
