Graduation

Finally, today's graduation!

(Since I wanna get to the good part as much as y'all do, Ima quickly go over graduation day.)

I decided to wear a black shirt that was ruffled at the bottom, black skinny jeans and heeled booties to match.

I know wearing all that black under my graduation gown in May sounds pretty bad, but for one, it's Maryland, and two, were having our graduation indoors in the gym, and the gym is like, one of the coldest places in the whole school. I combed my naturally brown hair, that was bra strap length.

I had family from the south and Caribbean who were coming all this way just to see me graduate from this insufferable school. Even my sister who was now in her second year of college, was coming all the way from California to see me graduate from this school just as she did.

After a fairly nice breakfast, we went in my moms nice car. I applied mascara to my natural hazel eyes and my sister had done my the rest of my makeup.

I plopped in my headphones to listen to my favorite singer, Michael Jackson, feeling in a all upidy mood.

I may hate this damn school, and I may had went through some shitty people, but I still have a few cool friends who've made my life a little less shittier.

When I arrived at the school, I saw all the seniors in their gowns, with their friends, and family, taking pictures.

Getting out the car, my family members were taking my pictures and talking how I'm all grown up, and how they remembered when I was just a wee child, including sharing the embarrassing story time moments.

When I finally separated from my family, it was time to meet up with my friends.

When I found them, we had a nice conversation, until I saw my fake friends. Molly, Annie, Nora, and Andy. They were having the time of their life with all their great friends right now.

It must be nice, and I used to be one of them, or at least so I thought. They were nice to me at first, but however, over time, they slowly started treating me like shit, and then, they slowly began to ignore me, and so eventually I ended up getting into a fight with them, and I started hanging out with other friends.

Graduation wasn't as exciting as it may have been. I took pictures with my friends before we walked across the stage, going through the same routine, where the popular got cheers when they were to stay quiet until they finished calling names.

I got a little cheer from my friends and family, and I smiled delightfully as I got my graduation picture token.

Me and my friends all smiled and talked about what we was gonna be doing for the better of our future.

Finally, my parents ushered me off to the car and we ate out at Cracker Barrel for lunch, and then we drove back to our house to celebrate. My family had set up a Luau theme party since I applied to go to the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

I had pretty almost clean records and had pretty good grades through my high school years, so I was a shoe in.

When we arrived, all my family unwinded and we had a good time, cracked jokes and what not.

It had been a week since Graduation, and all my family had left, wishing me the best of luck.

Finally, one day, I was looking up high paying jobs in Hawaii, when my dad came home from work, with mail in his hand.

Nerina, I got mail for you! He announced.

My family all gathered around me at the table, seeing that it was from Hawaii.

Smiling, I opened it, then froze.

Well, what does it say? My mother asked with a frozen smile.

My smile slowly faded away, and I looked down in sadness.

Oh no! My mom said, covering her mouth.

Oh god, does that mean we're still stuck with her? My brother groaned.

I smirked and started laughing, showing them the paper.

SIKE, I GOT IN!!! I squealed, and everybody squealed, laughing and clapping for me.

Yaaayyy, Nerina got accepted into her dream college! My sister said, hugging me.

So we went out to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate.

The next day, I spent all day packing up my things in my obnoxiously huge suit case that was literally a drawer on wheels that my mom had bought in advance. I fit all my summer/spring clothes in, and packed all my other things I wanted to bring along with me including my shoes.

Despite my love for the island life, I dress like a rocker chic, which meant a lot of black, a lot of leather jackets, and wearing that in hot humid weather would be the death of me, so I really have to do a fashion adjustment. I might just end up dressing pastel punk eventually.

Once I had packed up, me and my friends did a group video chat to say our goodbyes and discuss about our colleges and how life is going to be for us. I told them about my idea to do a vlog.

Finally,we all had to go. Tomorrow, I'm gonna be spending all day traveling in a plane..... whoopidy doo!

************************************

We ended up having to get up five in the morning, and ima tell yah, I ain't no morning, so you could imagine a very tired me trying to grab last minute stuff before getting in the car, and we drove off to the airport.

When we got to the airport, we waited for our plane, that was gonna take us to Las Vegas before we take the rest of the trip to Hawaii.

Getting on the plane, my parents and brother was gonna drop me off, lowkey just wanting to have an excuse to go to Hawaii, my sister left to go back to college in New York.

I then recorded myself at the airport, then recorded myself getting on the plane, and a few air shots.

When we landed in Vegas, I walked along through the casino area, and took shots of me and my family there, and my parents trying a few gambling games.

It was already nighttime, we wouldn't be going in Hawaii till the next morning, so we went to this pretty fancy looking hotel.

As I was in the bathroom, I snap chatted myself . Ok guys, I'm at a hotel in Vegas, but tomorrow, ima be in Hawaii! See ya later! I said.

As I lay in the hotel bed, I thought of all the exciting adventures Ima soon have.

(Ok, now I'm gonna actually start writing with detail and stuff, I just wanted to speed through the boring part cause nobody cares about that, I'm just saying how irrelevant and boring the events in Nerina's life before college was.)
