"Annabelle! You're going to be late!" My grouchy mother yelled. I groaned and quickly got out of bed. I hated school. I hated getting ready for school. I hated life. I hated people. I just hated everything. I got into the shower and took a quick one. I dried off, applied my make-up, put on my clothes and shoes and walked down stairs. "Ready?" my mother asked and handed me an apple. I nodded and grabbed a hair brush from my back-pack and walked out to the car, following my mother. We got into the car and I waited for my mother to start complaining. "Why do you wear make-up? It hides your true beauty. Youre beautiful without it darling." she said and I rolled my eyes. "I wear it because you bought it for me and I have to hide my scar, mother." I say and she nods. "I understand your scar darling, but you don't need to cover your face with that crap?" she said the last part quietly. "Yes I do. Im not pretty and no guy will ever like me anyways so lets leave it at that?" I said and she just shook her head.
It was true. Im not pretty. My hair and eyes are both a boring brown, I was born with a slight tan which only made girls hate me, my hair was naturally curly, but not curly curly and I was thin, and had quite big boobs. I wasn't pretty though, I was ok. We pulled up to my high school and my mom looked at me. "Try to have a great day darling. Love you." she said. "Love ya too." I said and hopped out of the car. Oh, another thing about me is that Im from London so I have an accent. The only one in my school with one, so I was definitely different. "Anna!" my best friend Ricky called my name. "Hey Ricky." I said and slightly smiled. "Let me see your arms." he said, noticing my long sleeve shirt. I sighed and lifted up my sleeves, revealing my fresh cuts. He sighed and looked at me with disapproving eyes.
"Why didn't you call me?" He said sadly. "You didn't answer." I simply stated and rolled down my sleeves. "Okay I take the blame. Next time write or sing. You need to stop cutting." he said and I hugged him. "Im sorry." I said into his ear. "Its fine princess." he said and let go. Ricky called me princess for some odd reason. I never knew why but I liked it so I left it alone. He quickly changed the topic. "Have you seen the new kids?" he asked me. "No, no I haven't." I said and scanned the courtyard looking for new faces. "Well I heard there are five of them!" he yelled. He liked meeting new people so this was big for him. I hated new kids because they always made fun of me. "Who do you think principle Arroyo is going to pick to help out he new kids?" he asked. "Hopefully not me." I said and started walking to Ricky's group of guy friends.
I was friends with them and they thought I was cool. I walked over and saw new faces. I stopped and Ricky bumped into me. "They are over there!" I said and he looked happy. "Come on. Ill forgive you for cutting..." he said with his puppy dog eyes. "Fine." I said and followed behind him. "Sup guys." said Joey when he saw me and Ricky walk up. "Hey." me and Ricky said in unison. Now I was officially the only girl in the group. "Hey Belle!" the rest of the guys yelled, except the new guys who kept staring at me. "Guys you see me everyday of the week. Don't be so damn loud." I laughed. "We don't see you for two days Belle. We have the right to be loud." Ethan said and winked at me. "Haha fine." I said and laughed with Ethan. "So Annabelle, these are the new kids." Zack said and pointed to the new kids. "Nooo! I thought they already went to this school!" I yelled sarcastically. "Oh don't be sarcastic with me." Zack said jokingly. "That's like telling me not to breathe." I said and stuck out my tounge.
"You win." he said and the guys laugh because he lost a fight with me yet again. "What are your guy's names again?" Joey asked. "Oh, Um Harry, Zayn, Louis, Liam, and Niall." the one named Harry said. "You guys have accents!" I blurted out. I felt myself turned red. "Sorry." I said and everyone giggled. "Oh shut up. I was the only one here with an accent, now Im not lonely!" I said and use my hands for dramatic effect.
*ding ding ding* the school bells went off. "See you guys later." Ricky said and put his arm around me protectively. "The blonde one kept staring at you." he said and winked at me. "Ricky no guy has ever liked me. Calm down." I say and half laugh. "Whatever you say." he said and left. I walked to my locker and got my things. I then walked to my class, early of course, and waited for everyone to get into the class. Once everyone was in my class my teacher Mr. Reberio started to talk before the speaker sound came on. "Can we get Annabelle to the office please. She can put her stuff in her locker." the lady spoke and then hung up. Everyone looked at me. I got up and walked out of the class. What would they want? I kept thinking that to myself as I walked down to the office.
I walked into the office and the lady looked at me with bright eyes. "Annabelle?" she said and I nodded. "Good. Youll be escorting these five lads this week. Have fun!" she said brightly and walked away. "Wait no wait hold on!" I managed to say before I heard a familiar voice say "Hello." I sighed and looked at the ground. I turned around to see five bright smiles. "Hi." I said and wondered why I was choosen to help them out.
