Chapter 1

Lucy's P.O.V

Dear Mom,
       Ever since Lisanna came back everyone ignores me! Heck even Natsu! All the guild ever does is talk about Lisanna. Lisanna this Lisanna that, I mean I understand  that she just returned from the dead or Edolas in other words, trust me I would be shocked and happy too! But it's been 2 months and they still haven't spoken to me! And yes, I know I sound like a complaining brat, but you understand what I'm trying to say, right mom? But this whole thing is starting to make me feel like a....replacement....I guess there's no point in talking about it, I just wish that you were here and that my family would speak to me, it would make my life a lot easier! But.....sadly life doesn't go that way. Anyway I should be more optimistic and look on the bright side of things instead of talking about sad depressing things! So here's my attempt at trying to be more optimistic, the bright side is that at least Levy, my best friend, Mira, the best cook in the world,Wendy, my little sister,Gajeel, my big brother,Charles, Happy, and Lily still talk to me! Anyway, I guess I'm babbling to much, so bye, mom, I'll talk to you later!

"Well I guess I should go to the guild." I said to myself as I slipped  the letter into the box with all my other letters. After that I headed out of my apartment door. On the way there, I just thought, "Why should I even go, I mean it's not like they would miss me if I don't come, right?" For a second I considered about heading back to my apartment and stay home, but I quickly shook that thought away, for it's too selfish, and I don't want my real friends to worry. After a few minutes I arrived in front of the guild doors, the doors I used to love, but now I just hate with all my being! I took a sigh, and slowly opened the doors, when it was fully open, magic of all kinds were shot straight at me. I could hear and see my real friends shout at me to move, and trying  to get past Erza, who was blocking them. But all I did was stand there in shock as each attack hit me. "How could you do that?!" I heard Natsu yell, also known as my former crush. "H-H-How....could I-I...w-what..?" I stuttered, after the attacks were over. I tried to get up, but I failed miserably, and fell back down. Wendy immediately used a sky dragon wing attack to get by Erza, who let her guard down, and along with the others, ran up to me, starting to heal me. "You hurt Lisanna!" Natsu replied angrily, ignoring my friends, as they tried to help me. "What....?!" "No!" "I would never do that!" I protested, tears starting to form in my eyes, but I wouldn't let them see me cry, I just can't! "Yeah, Natsu, Lucy-Chan would never hurt a fly, so her own nakama is just out of the question!" Wendy shouted, while my other friends nodded in agreement. For a moment, I thought that Natsu's lifeless eyes returned back to his normal cheerful onyx eyes, but I must've been mistaken, because it quickly went back to his lifeless and dull ones."Ask Lisanna if you hurt her or not!" Natsu furiously, along with the others, stepped aside to reveal Lisanna who was full of cuts, bruises, and whip marks. "Oh...Natsu~!" "Don't....listen...t-to...h-h-her......!" "She's just a slut who lies for her own b-benefits!" "S-She...t-t-told...me t-to...stay...away...from...y-you...!" "A-A-And....a-and...when...I-I....d-disagreed....she....attacked...m-me!" "She c-c-cut me with knives, whipped me...and...p-punched...me...until...I-I...a-agreed..!" "B-B-But...I j-just couldn't...!" Lisanna whimpered out weakly. Then they all looked at Lisanna, including my real friends, and then back at me. After awhile, Erza got out a sword and held Wendy and the others back with it, just like what she did early today. What I was surprised at was that every single one of my real friends excluding Wendy, Charles, Lily, and Gajeel, said that they changed their mind and wanted to attack me, Erza then gladly let them free, making sure to keep up her guard to not let the others go. Then for the second time today, they threw magic at me, except this time with darker and angrier faces. After they had enough of beating me up and humiliating me, they stopped and went back to what they were doing before I got there, leaving me on the guild floor, with Wendy trying to heal me, Gajeel protecting me, and Charles scolding me about not moving earlier today. When I had enough energy to stand, I told Wendy to rest, and told Gajeel to do the same thing, which they reluctantly agreed to do. Then quickly as possible I limped my way toward master's office. I knocked on the door, and a moment later, heard a muffled, "come in..." I did as I was told, and walked in. Master stared at me in shock and after a moment stuttered out, W-W-Who...d-did...this...to...y-you.." "W-When....t-the...guild...find out-" He continued, but I quickly cut him off. "M-M-Master...the guild..d-d-did this!" "Th-They...c-can't protect me if...they're t-t-the ones who c-c-caused..it!" I sobbed, tears running down my bruised cheek like a waterfall. His worried filled expression then morphed  into an angry expression. Looking at how his eyes looked like he could murder someone, made me feel.....loved, knowing that at least one person cares and loves me. But then I thought back about how the guild treated me, and I started to sob. The master noticed this and started to comfort me, it somehow reminded me of what my mom used to do."Child don't worry they'll pay for this!" He muttered under clenched teeth. "Th-There's no...need...master.." I replied quietly, before pulling myself out of the hug. Master looked at me shocked and angry. "W-what?!" "W-why my child?!" Master asked, trying to control his tone of voice. I took in a deep shaky breath and began talking. "M-M-Master "I-I w-w-want to q-quit t-the g-g-guild!" He surprisingly didn't look shocked, all he did was give a simple nod. "W-Will you come back my child?" He questioned while removing my guild mark from my hand and holding back his tears. "Yes...." I answered, looking at my now blank hand. "Thank you master for everything, also can you give these letters to the guild after a week." I said sadly, handing him the letters. After that I headed for the door. Once it was open, I glanced back at master only to see him crying, muttering, "I...shouldn't....have.....been....so...busy...paying...bills...and....paid...more....attention...to...Lucy.....!" I turned back toward the guild hall as a tear slipped my eye. I swiftly wiped it away and limped my way back down the stairs, once I was fully down, I see the whole guild looking at me angrily except for Gajeel, Wendy, Lily, and Charles, who were looking at me worriedly. Normally Mira, Levy, and Happy would have too, but I guess they all believed in that bitch's story. "Where are you going, Bunny-Girl?" Gajeel asked, trying to hide his worry. "I'm...I'm...leaving...this...hell hole.." I muttered, but I knew they heard because Wendy started to cry, and Gajeel clenched his fists, as if angry at something. Others just looked at them confusingly. Once that was explained, I started to run to the guild doors but I was stopped by non-other then Team Natsu! "You weakling, get out of here!" Natsu furiously shouted. "Yeah, for once I agree with Flamebrain here, you're weak ,face it Lucy." Gray  stated, folding his arms. "Yeah your spirits aren't even strong." Erza added, leaving Wendy and the others behind. Before I knew it the whole guild started to chant,"you're weak!" I clenched my teeth as I shouted, "I know that, that's why I'm leaving this guild! And when I come back I will defeat all of you!" With that, I ran out of the guild, hearing their laughter get quieter and quieter as I headed for my apartment to pack.
