Chapter 3

Amaryllis

The crystal blue sky turned a darker shade, informing us that it's going to get dark soon. The tall oak trees were casting shadows giving the forest a very mysterious look.

Thorin turned to face Eada and me, "Do you girls know how to set-up camp?"

"Um.. Yeah?" Eada almost questioned her face looked clouded almost.

"Of course I know how" I declared, my sea greens had a bright look in them, which wasn't there before.

I  travelled a bit deeper in the woods to find some wood for the fire Thorin had started, A few minutes later I ran back to camp, Thorin noticed me and jumped up his sword drawn. Thinking something dangerous was coming.

"What's wrong?!" 

Eada how ever didn't seem worried she just looked at me, like she knew something I didn't. It was annoying but I didn't bother asking why she was looking at me like that.

"Nothing, I just meet some Indians" I smiled dancing around a bit.

"Indians?!" Thorin was on-guard ready to fight he was very tensed.

"Don't worry they are friendly" I glanced at him

"How do you know?" He questioned  

"Because they are mother's friends, and they want us to spend the night there" Eada spoke up

Thorin and I stared at her wondering how she knew. 

"Hmmm fine" Thorin agreed

Hundreds of Indian tepees filled the fields, smoke floated in the air from all the campfires.

A short middle aged Indian woman ran to meet us.

"Amaryllis! You are here!" she was smiling brightly

"White arrow!" I ran towards her and hugged her. She was my mum's childhood friend and I grew up with her as almost a second mother

Eada and Thorin walked over to us, "Amaryllis, Eada you have both grown so much, and who is this?" She ask peering at Thorin

"This Thorin Oakenfield  the dwarf" 

"Oh nice to meet you Thorin!" She exclaimed "You girls must be tired where are your horses?" She looked at Eada and me

"Umm...." I looked at Eada who just shrugged "We don't have any.." I finished 

"Oh... Well you can use some of ours!" She glanced at us your mother also sent some clothes for you girls, they are in the big teepee!"

I smiled "Thank you"

"No problem!"

"I swear the woman has so much energy it's gonna get us all killed" Thorin mutter under his breath

I bit my lip trying not to laugh. "Come on Amaryllis" Eada draged me to the big teepee.

I opened my bundle  of clothes "Great just great, Why would I need a ball gown?!" 

Eada changed into a clean blue dress "Because you never know what could happen you might need it"

I sighed "Okay, okay I will not burn it" My eyes had a playful look in them

Eada gasped "You wouldn't dare!" 

I smiled "Try me"

Once Eada finished we walked out of the teepee and over to where Thorin and White Arrow was standing by a crackling campfire.

"You're finely done you took long enough" Thorin joked

"Haha very funny" I rolled my eyes

"Amaryllis I'd like you to meet my daughter Willow!" White Arrow pulled a young Indian girl to her side

"Nice to meet you Willow" I smiled at her

"Same to you, your highness" Willows smiled back

"Willows is going to join you on your quest whatever it is, and you shall take some of our horses!" White Arrow exclaimed

"Thank you for everything White Arrow" I smiled

Hi people sorry about the wait but I have been really busy.... I had a sibling in hospital...It's all okay now! And I'm so sorry that my chapters are short I'll try making them longer
