Not to mention all the power boosts she got when she absobed the HATE substance,which gives her a healing factor,which can go as far as healing otherwise lethal injuries,as well as strength and speed boosts
She almost killed frisk,who survived hits from the absolute god of hyperdeath,she successfully killed asriel and sans,and beat gaster
As awesome as she is,she has her flaws
She tends to get cocky in battle,HATE can take her over if she uses it to much,and she was beat by undyne the undying and LOVE 19 frisk
But you're gonna have to be pretty tough to beat her,and even then,god help you

Well alex Mercer was a researcher for the black light project
Till he found out that the other researchers were being murdered
Alex fled with a vial of the virus he was researching,but got cornered
And shot to death
Before alex was killed he destroyed the vial,releasing the virus into the city
He woke up before doctors could do an autopsy,thank god,could you imagine if he woke up to doctors cutting him open
Alex lost all memory of his past,so he went after those who betrayed him
Which went well for him,not so well for his enemies

He has many offensive capabilites
Weapons:hammerfist,claws,sword hand,tentacles,whipfist,adaptive weapons,consume,muscle mass
The dude straight up throws tanks,that is a certified badass
He is in no way perfect,he goes all out at the start of a battle,which could make him predictable and tire him out,he's lost to james heller,a weaker foe,and has limits to how much firepower he can stand against
But youll nead to get close to do anything to him,and god help anyone who does that

Betty swung the scythe at the man,who had blocked her with a sword arm,and kicked him in his balls,this staggered alex,who's arm turned into a spiked whip,alex swung the whip and sent her into a wall,a black substance healed the injuries,alex looked surprised,betty summoned a pink javelin from her soul and jumped into the air,alex cut her arm off

A black tentacle shot toward alex from the arm stump

The tentacle threw alex into the air and slammed him to the ground alex jumped at the demon child,who just side stepped,alex summomed his claws and sliced the child's face,which regenerated
And betty slashed at him with her scythe,alex blocked with his hammerfist and tkumu went to blob form and flew over alex's head,betty swung her scythe at him again,and he blocked

"Wait,her scythe?"
A pink tentacle went through alex's chest,revealing a black heart shaped object on it's end,alex's soul,a soul of hate,kumu flew over to betty,and ate the soul,alex keeled over,dead

Alex may have the upper hand in physical strength,but betty beat him in every other category
I guess compared to betty,mercer is just a prototype
