Two weeks passed since Winter arrived at the Dawes house, and she was doing great! Connor had became less and less hyper, Ella grew used to her, and even Spencer enjoyed having her. Everything was going fine...until the one night that Ella came over for lunch.

"So...Winter...are you and Connor a thing yet?" Ella calmly asked, like she knew something that Winter didn't. Connor beckoned for her to stop with hand motions. "No," Winter replied. "Why would you ask that?" Spencer motioned to Connor. Connor got out of his chair, moved in front of Winter, and got down on one knee. He sighed. "Winter Mason, will you make me the happiest boy alive and go to dinner with me?" Then, he smiled brightly, his braces shining in the afternoon sunlight. "Oh my god!" Winter said, more surprised than happily. "Sure, Con-Artist. Sure." Then everyone laughed.

That night, Winter went into her room and looked through the closet. I have no decent clothes, she thought. Just then, cutting off her thoughts, Ella came in. "I've come to give you an outfit." She stated. She moved over to the closet and rummaged through it. She tossed out a plain white tank top, black skirt, black leggings, black boots, and a black, leather jacket. "This is a lot of black." Winter commented. "Yeah, well, it's his second favorite color." Ella left the room so Winter could get changed. She looked in the full body mirror she had bought after a week with living with them. I look gorgeous, she thought. Winter put her hair into a braid and put one of the Greek gold band things around it. She put on some quick eye shadow, mascara, blush, and lip gloss. She then headed downstairs to meet Connor. That was the day true feelings were revealed.
